Bo Nix says information “Might’ve gotten confused” on pre-disposed ankle injury

Someone just lie to me and tell me everything is gonna be fine
This definitely feels like a very Sean Payton type situation
I’m still confused…so Bo is saying he didn’t have other surgeries? Or that he shared it with Sean but he shouldn’t have relayed it?
Certainly, Bo is motivated not to share injury news as he’s 2-4 years away from free agency.
People who have played for Sean (including Brees) have said Sean likes it when people stand up to him. So…this is good?
Yikes. Bo called him out about sharing how many surgeries he’s had. I think Sean is a hell of a head coach, but he needs to keep some shit to himself. Things do get lost in text, i want to see the video of him saying it. Inflection and tone etc are important.
Im already thinking for worst case scenario but if it comes down to it the broncos will definitely move on from SP before Bo if things go south. That being said I think by next season it might be water under the bridge.
I feel like Bo is just clearing up some miscommunication. I think Payton mis-used the term “predisposed” and I think he meant that given Bo has broken this ankle before, it could’ve created a higher possibility for reinjury. Additionally, i think Bo is saying he doesn’t want anyone to freak out or blow the injury out of proportion. I don’t think there’s any bad blood at all.
Look….is the guy getting a robot ankle or not?
It’s officially offseason… outlets need something to talk about & to stir up.
I felt it was pretty obvious that SP misunderstood something during yesterday’s presser. The second he said “pre-disposed” I thought uh-oh… here comes the media.
Don’t blame Bo at all for getting in front of it.
I love Payton but I sort of feel like he said that to absolve himself of any criticism about calling that stupid play.
Considering that being “injury prone” can have a serious impact on future contracts Bo is right to be pissed.
Ok, I want Bo to absolutely right here but this is a multi-million dollar issue for him so im not surprised he would push back either way.
was he upset or just making sure to say he is not injury prone?
I remember Sean in a press conf after it was announced and he said something to the effect, “Bo told it happened twice before. If I knew that, I wouldn’t have drafted him.” He sort of said it tongue-in-cheek, but I’m not so sure it was.
Does anyone else remember that?
I commented on this topic the day after I learned this is his third bone fracture, that maybe he has bone issues that can be strengthened. I basically got killed by suggesting that maybe Nix isn’t superman. It is what it is, we’ll all find out in due time.
Well what Sean Payton said it was clearly a joke to try to lighten the mood…so yeah open is a big nothing Burger
Not the Denver sports page tryna stir the pot a lil bit. Cmon now it’s the off season, we don’t have to pay Russ anymore. We can sign some big names!
I think based on this is that the doc saw that his ankle was getting ready to break (such as a stress fracture). Leading to the when not if surrounding the surgery and that got misinterpreted as pre-disposed.
What the hell is this article. It has no links to the actual press conference, just a twitter snippet and 5 paragraphs wildly speculating about the partial sentence Twitter claims that Bo said.
