Mike Tirico won’t call ‘Sunday Night Baseball’ for NBC

Not surprised given he is the lead announcer for their NBA and NFL coverage.
Hire Jason Bennetti is my take here. As a Sox fan, easily my favorite announcer and great at both modern statistics and the fun/romanticism of baseball.

I’d say that’s a pretty good reason for not getting the lead PxP job.
It’s gonna be Benetti. Any agent worth anything gets these secondary announcers (as he is at Fox Sports) an out in their contracts if they’re offered a lead national job like this.
