8. Newton hasn't worked out, not consistent. I'm curious what Jones and either new position coach or scheme does for him. Sounds like we may go 3-4 base. So assuming 5 olinemen and 4 dlinemen, who is getting the double team? Who in our group was so dangerous that he warranted extra help? Maybe Armstrong, but a lot of times it's the interior guys, C-G combo. I think that isn't mentioned a lot, maybe no one tracks it, but if 2 guys on on you, hard to pressure/tackle. If CBs are giving 5-10 yards in zone coverage, D can't get off the field, how easy is it to apply pressure with easy pitch/catch plays going on? How hard can you keep playing when you can't get off the field, and your O is 3 or 6 and out?

12. I once worked for a manager, that would call the women in our group into her office, and they would come out crying. I saw a male go from promising, to trying to hang onto his job. She never had an assistant, but anyone who could thrive as an assistant with her, would have had a lot of respect from the group. Apparently Flores is hard to work with, and Jones was his right-hand man, planned pass defenses, etc. Can't wait to see him take over the D here.

So of course the first year of the the contract is always the cheapest but now he's right up there with everybody else. Go over the cap and look at the Patriots players A lot of 25 and $30 million cap hits.
