Bronco Fan here! I don’t mind it at all!!
It’s not weird at all. The offense was painful to watch.
He didn't get fired for that play call it was because we struggled ALL YR ON OFFENSE. Thats y these bozo never played football before poop'n off at mouth!
Lombardi literally did nothing 😂
Jmac clearly has no clue what he’s talking about
I love your logic about the cook!!!
The AFC West all fired their OCs
Obviously wants Webb to stay in the building and this is like, OC is yours bud if you want it. Or you can drown at the Raiders
Also people forget , like Harbaugh with Roman ,Lombardi and Payton have been , good friends for 15–20 years! Payton made a hard decision and did what he feels is best for the Broncos!!
I'd love to know how these decisions worked their way through ownership. Seems to me that these firings (and Joseph retention and Webb promotion) were not decisions made after the loss to New England. But rather, have been in the works for weeks. Both Coach and Mr P seem to be the type who want to be at least 3 steps in front of everyone else at all times.
Sean has giving up play calling before no one says that it’s always he never will yes he will he has saints went 7-9 back to back Sean’s first back to back losing seasons come on he ain’t dumb he knows something has to change
seriously, i'm like –we have an OC???
Sean did bring in John Morton, the former OC from the Lions to help out for the AFC Conference Championship game. That’s why this makes sense. I think Sean wants fresh input concerning the running game and other aspects of the offensive gameplay. He will not be giving up playcalling.
It's all BS. IT'S ALL PAYTON FAULT. ALSO THE NFL FOR LYING TO US SAYING NIX GOT HURT ON A KNEEL DOWN. WHATEVER MAN. WE KNOW WHATS UP. WHEN U REACH DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP N LOSE. SOMEBODY HAS TO GO. MAYBE PAYTON BECAUSE HE WAS CALLING THE DAMN PLAYS.
Lombardi rode Payton's coattails for 15 years. No one really knows what his job was 😂
Payton scapegoating his OC is hilarious 🤣
Broncos had a sucessful season and suceeded expectations. Why change a functioning squad? 🫠. Afc championship was in the worst possible weather conditions with a backup qb. did they expect aoffensive masterclass during a blizzard? 😂😭🤣
So if we are using ratatouille as a reference, is Sean the Chef or the rat pulling the strings?
Noone here in Denver is bummed about this. Respectfully to Joe. I honestly think it’s because for 2 years straight, the run game has been a failure. Maybe a refresher at OC. Maybe someone who can contribute better to the run scheme and someone who can make better decisions in Sean’s ear
It's about keeping Davis Webb in Denver. Payton has had Lombardi for years & knows what he is and is not. He clearly sees Davis as the guy he wants to position going forward. People questioning him over his coaching hires are idiots.
The nfl = not for long
As a Bolts fan, Lombardi wasn’t good. But if Davis Webb may want to move on to a team he has more control over on offense. Payton makes the calls
Why is everyone treating this like a one-sided thing? It could very easily be a mutual parting of ways. Lombardi isn’t calling the plays. What if he wants more responsibility and a real shot at being a head coach someday? If you’re basically stuck as Sean Payton’s gopher, there’s a ceiling on your career. Leaving doesn’t automatically mean he was pushed out or failed. It could just mean he wants to move forward instead of standing in place.
