Guys, chill out. Watch these incredible throws. He’s still in there. They just need to figure out why he only plays locked in for like half a game. Sometimes he’ll start hot and other times he only plays well in the second half. It’s clearly mental. He does things at a super high level for stints and then it just disappears, sometimes that same game. Figure it out. Be consistent. The poise, the sniper accuracy, the ability to roll out and kill defenses, ATTACKING the blitz and making them pay, and even being decisive. It’s ALL here. He did everything this season. Just do it every game, every quarter. I believe he’ll get there. Don’t let the last 2 games give you such bad recency bias you become football stupid. CJ is still a franchise QB.

  1. And for anyone who’s going to be smart and say “wEll iTs a hIgHlLiGHt tApE of CouRSe he lOOks goOd 🤪”

I always try to watch back every offensive snap after emotions cool down from games to avoid bias. I know what he’s capable of.

  2. I think it’s more football stupid to see how he did as a whole this season ,even before accounting for his complete fuck up of the playoffs, and still try to tell people to chill out. He’s a 2nd overall pick and yes obviously it’s all mental and yeah we know he has to be more consistent that’s what the whole issue is. Everyone at the NFL level has some elite type of talent but the ones without the mental end up commentating on ESPN. His mental is a huge issue no one is questioning the talent. Just because he can physically be a franchise QB doesn’t mean he’s going to be

  3. Man, I love CJ as a person and I still have belief that he can be that guy for us, but ultimately that’s gonna be up to him on if he wants to put in that work to take the next step. I do believe he needs to work on his mobility, he’s gotten sort of “fat” to me, very statue like QB. Gonna be hard to win a pure pocket passer QB in this era. But what do I know, I’m just a casual viewer haha

  4. Thanks for posting trying to counter act all the whiney posts about him. He is going to be our QB next year. He is not all bad he has the talent. Just hoping we can see more of this next year.

  5. Just a bunch of people who expect no bumps in the road and we just go win a Super Bowl.. like I’ll be pissed when everything around him is settled (OC, OL, RB) and he still doesn’t deliver. But if you can’t look at the circumstances surrounding him and take those into account then you’re never gonna be satisfied. He has a first year OC, IOL that’s not good, WR/TE1 out, rookie WR2, rookie RB.. with all those things as deficiencies on top of the expected pressure of the #2 pick, all I’m saying is it’s not unforgivable in my book and I’ll allow him time to settle in

  6. When his base, footwork are sound his ceiling is very high. This video package should be viewed in that light – “CJ this is what your base should look like, use your legs to get those first downs. Move the chains and the big plays will be there later”. In contrast, low lights for the season are when he is pressured instantly his footwork becomes sloppy, erratic, he doesn’t climb the pocket and definitely didn’t run as much later in the season. That will hopefully be worked on with a new QB coach; otherwise another season down the tube.

  7. Some of y’all ride Stroud like Dak fan boys used to ride Dak. Eventually you will see what the entire world is seeing.

  8. C.j. Needs to be replaced, this close 2 years in a row… not always the coach’s… get rid of the players that cause lots of turnovers… you can’t win a game when you have someone giving the ball away…. Remember CJ lost the first 3 games and mills came and got the win streak going… the defense won our games, CJ played a very small part in points…. Time to dump him… he’s another Watson….
