I did a way too early tier list for options at 7 a couple weeks ago. Had Faulk in the c-tier and the consensus was he didn't belong on the board — not so sure if Bain and Bailey are gone.
Another I missed was Sonny Styles. Converted safety, I think he might also have some unicorn traits — similar to Reese as a off ball backer/edge except as a backer who can cover and still got a bit of pass rush juice

I like Faulk, but I dont see any way hes at the top of my board at No. 7.
He’s a Virgo! Pull the trigger at 7
How is he different than shemar Stewart?
I’m tired of drafting physical “unicorns”. Gimme a dude who dominates at his position.
Not sure about Faulk, but assuming our new DC takes after Flores and uses more Blitzing, Styles likely moves up our board.
Styles as a fantastic LB prospect, but he is also a phenomenal on blitzes. I could see him being in consideration if Bain, Bailey and Reese are gone.
Honestly, I know nothing about scouting. All I can do is support whomever we take.
6’6 and 290 is wild. Maybe he’s not the pick at 7, but if we can trade down a few spots it’s not bad. His run stopping ability and inside-outside versatility sound like how people are projecting Bain too.
I would love Styles! If you’re sick of watching broken tackles, Styles is the most sure handed linebacker in the class. It would also be someone who could take over for Wagner(or learn from him if he runs it back). I would rather have Styles than Reese tbh
Don’t we kinda have one of those at home in Kinlaw? Remember: Kinlaw was drafted #14 overall.
Pretty good example of the thought process difference between a nuanced football expert and a fan who is limited by mostly viewing things through a sort by highest numbers lens.
He’s had 2 sacks since week 8 of 2024. Yes, I understand Auburn moved him all around the DL but this is all the same shit I heard from Logan last year about Shemarr Stewart, that he fell in love with, and then Stewart proceeded to do nothing in Cincinnati. You cannot convince me this dude, with his little production, is a better fit than Bain, Bailey, Downs or Styles.
Also, I’m 40. I lived through Julius Peppers college years. He was an animal. Faulk is nothing like Peppers. Peppers lit everybody up. He was obviously the best player on the field week in and week out.
At 7 take Downs if hes there. Start hoping and wishing in the 3rd. 7 we want a starter with all pro potential definite pro bowl…
