  12. I understand backing our qb and feeling the need to defend him given most of media’s and fans takes on him, but I’m unclear how this somehow eases the concern over Stroud.

    Any qb can have a bad day on any given day. Manning that season was incredible, and cemented the legacy he already had as one of the best to ever play and possibly the smartest to ever play.

    Stroud was a mostly safe game manager all season who led an offense that needed the defense to win them games.

  13. Peyton was a turnover machine his first few seasons in the league. He was downright awful. We just need to find someone who can coach up CJ so he becomes more like Peyton and avoid him becoming David Carr.

  14. This is not even the same Seahawks D scheme. CJ played the Ravens in 2023, against the Seahawks’ current scheme. With that said, WTF does this have to do with CJ?

  15. lol this should make you feel worse. Wilson won with that defense against a GOAT and stroud can’t even give us a chance let alone blow anyone out with our defense

  16. Why? Peyton was old and past his prime here and the broncos were a generationally good defense.

    CJ shit the bed against probably one of the weakest teams to ever go to the Super Bowl.

  20. It’s was a snowy wet game in NE a lot of QBs just are not good in those conditions. CJ will probably not be an all time great. But I think he can get us where we need to be . If we had a dome in that game I think we win, and it’s not even particularly close

  22. My brother in Christ, the Patriots defense is not anywhere near as good as the legion of boom. CJ just shat the bed two weeks ago. We on to next season now

  23. As much of a downer as I’ve felt on Stroud since the Steelers game, I know he has the tools to become a GREAT passer. He reads coverages pretty well and of course has the physical attributes for an NFL qb. He just needs to stop making boneheaded mistakes when being pressured, or really to control his nerves in general, and also learn to take a sack or throw it away more quickly. If he doesn’t improve upon those issues, then the Texans will never win anything.
