We have the best package but we still got other competitors nonetheless. This is also ultimately up to Giannis to decide where he preferably wants to land at too. We only have leverage towards the Bucks’ FO but not technically Giannis himself.
The only leverage we have for Giannis to consider here is Curry himself. Other than that, if this team doesn’t have Curry then why would Giannis wanna come down here to play with Podz? If Jimmy didn’t tear his ACL and is still healthy, I guarantee you we’d be Giannis’s number one or two option and have a HIGH likelihood of landing him. Just imagine Steph, Giannis, and Jimmy in the playoffs

What’s crazy is I’ve seen reports that Giannis would love to play in New York, in Miami, and now I’m even seeing he’d love to play with Ant or even fucking Maxey. There hasn’t been a single thing about his willingness to play here.

It’s realistic. We got the picks an we can make salaries work straight up. If Giannis is ok will playing next to Chef, then I’m confident GSW and MIL can make it work.

I’m originally a Knicks fan but been a Warriors fan since they lost game 7 to the Clippers back in the Mark Jackson days. With that being said, I love this team and would love to see Curry go for one more ring before I go back to following the Knicks fulltime in a few seasons.
But you have to look at the bottom line: would this trade make the dubs serious contenders for a ring? If not, it’s a waste of time.

I don’t think the Warriors have the best offer. They are just the most desperate team that is also willing to go all-in during the season. Atlanta, San Antonio, and Houston still have better packages. Of those, San Antonio and Houston seem unlikely… So it really comes down to A) Atlanta wanting to pony up during the season, and B) the Bucks being willing to take a little less to please Giannis or wait for a bidding war in the summer. That is where the pessimism is coming from. GSW is only the favorite for a mid-season trade because the teams with assets are mostly locked in.
I think it is more likely Giannis stays in the east and the Warriors part of some sort of multi team trade

Our 4 first round picks IMO are the most valuable offer someone can make. 3 of those picks could very likely be lottery picks and then they’ll get pick swaps to. At the end of this the Bucks could easily get at least 3 lottery picks. No one team trying to win right now can offer that.
Even if we win the Giannis sweepstakes it’s hard to see it happening right now. If you’re thebucks the better situation is to wait til offseason to have heavier bidding and more incentive. Only offset to that is if Giannis puts down an ultimatum of having to be out of there by the deadline
NGL until Doc Rivers shat on him and I Saw the other packages (Heat don’t have anything that’d make sense to trade for Giannis that’s CLEARLY Better than what we have)
Every time this happens, there’s some bs about which team is the front runner to get the big trade. Then some other team that has been working in silence ends up winning the trade. Don’t get your hopes up
Why would Giannis extend when his contract is up, Curry is retired, and the Warriors have zero draft collateral after sending it all to Milwaukee? lol
We shouldn’t be reluctant to trade these picks for two reasons,
We’ve drafted awfully in the first round every year since Poole, with Giannis we still will be competitive enough once Curry retires; he’d likely play longer with Giannis.
Picks are overrated imo — it depends on your fo if you can find and develop that talent
Don’t do it. He isn’t worth 4. You know what will happen? We will come short of a championship a couple times, they’ll retire, and we won’t have our own picks.
Please Giannis, your our only hope.
