RUMOR: The Mavs CANNOT go All-In for Giannis Antetokounmpo After His Trade Request but…

Giannis Antetokounmpo and his potential trade request could shift the entire NBA landscape, sending shockwaves through the Dallas Mavericks, Mavs fans, and teams vying for star power like Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving. The rise of Cooper Flagg, trade impacts involving the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, and Miami Heat, plus analysis of key players like PJ Washington and Naji Marshall, shape this critical NBA conversation.

Nick Angstadt and Slightly Biased break down what Giannis’ new trade rumors mean for the Dallas Mavericks, Mavs roster construction, and the possible star-laden lineups with Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, and Cooper Flagg. The episode also dives into players such as Klay Thompson, Dereck Lively II, Daniel Gafford, PJ Washington, Naji Marshall, (not) D’Angelo Russell, Max Christie, and more. Teams mentioned include the Bucks, Heat, Warriors, Lakers, Hornets, Spurs, Hawks, and Timberwolves, with insights into how trade deadline moves could affect the Mavericks and the broader NBA.

  1. I will not forget how Giannis undercut Kyrie in the playoffs in Brooklyn injuring him when he was about to send them home. Teague talked about the change in momentum. Dirty dirty pos. Send Giannis west to Utah

  2. Bucks need picks…
your Supreme commander Nico burned up Mavs future picks.
    – injured AD + this year's pick ?? Mavs probably should keep tanking. Dallas only has this 1 lottery ball for a long time

  3. My thing is you only go all in on players that can play well and fit with your future stars. I think too many teams just go for the gig name and don’t truly look if they truly fit.

  4. Jesus man why are mavs fans so dumb? We just watched 20 years of 2 generational players get 1 ring because the team didn’t build around Luka & Dirk. Why do y’all always want to trade for old injured washed players instead of building around young pieces.

Kyrie AD Giannis can all move around. Tank, get an early pick, trade the old dudes, & build around the youngsters.

  5. I'll definitely look at lions, but we not trading, you know who and you know what, but anybody else can go. Move a day.Who cares about the first pick?Get him out of here.We gotta get his man fifty plus next year. And after no way

  6. If we can convince Rich Paul the Bucks will give AD extension because they'd have no other star AND convince Giannis we have a chance at championship, we can get agents to force trade without giving up much else.

  7. First of all, I don’t think you have enough capital to get that type of job done and I don’t understand how people are doing all they wanna put establish people in a big contract and to make the contracts work to make Milwaukee do if I’m Milwaukee if you’re trading Giannis, you’re looking to rebuild specially being a small market team and the fact that it is all these teams the Lakers the always established major team New York Knicks all these steps all they can get back is really established veteran stars contracts, and if you’re Milwaukee, why would you do that you’re just putting yourself back in the same place and then I wore situation so you gotta look at the teams that actually have good young prospects and draft To make that happen so if you look at it, there’s only a handful of teams that make any kind of sense in that scenario and the team and I must be I would be straight artist may think it’s a joke, but it’s if you sit back and think about it it’s very much reality specially if they can get if they they should be able to get the first pick in extra draft unless the NBA once again jobs them to give teams like your team the first pick in the draft which was a joke it was a wink wink walk, walk situation. Give me a break. Anybody with any sense would understand what happened there between the league Lakers and Dallas give me a break that was a week wink walk walk top of move because the liquor were about to fall off because of Brian was retired so they wanted to make sure they get Lakers out their marquee. France is a good young. Start a build around give me a freaking break. You don’t figure that one out it’s on it’s you’re sleeping in a rock, but getting back to my original point the team specialist they get the first pick in the draft the fact that they have major draft capita not just this year, but moving in the future, the fact they have a good young core and some good young good young players at Milwaukee could build around where they could send two or three good young players are in the NBA show promise they especially if they get the first pick in the draft and they have a second first round pick next year plus multiple seconds this year‘s draft plus they’re gonna have multiple first and second round picks for several years coming up is Washington so you could build around a tray for Giannis going to Washington in exchange for 2 to 3 young not name sarr , George or Johnson so let’s say this is a trait the first pick in the graph the 30s pick in the draft three of the four second round picks in this year’s draft 3 future first round draft picks couple second draft picks and pg Bub Carrington f Will Riley sg AJ Johnson for Giannis and tell me one what better package than that would be going to Milwaukee I mean that package of Loan if they get the first pick give me a break it’s hands-down the best any team could offer to get yards and then think about this, if Giannis you’re going to a big city like Washington who has a good young starting core that you can build with with star Jorge Johnson, and you got an All-Star one healthy point guard in Young to play with and it won’t just be good for one or two years if you have a chance to have a chance to play and be good for 45 years 78 years so you can finish your career and have a chance to be a championship caliber team every year cause the wizards have built a good young core and tell me I’m wrong so it’s not just playing for one or two good years and then worry about have to go move around again because of the team he went to got old and need to be broke up again and if you look at it, Giannis is a low post player. He wants to be low post. He needs to be with a Sentor that can be flexible and go out and play on a prime. Let’s play the primer in the office and that our saw likes playing a perimeter has some low post but likes playing on the perimeter that would be the perfect fit for yards to play down low rather than clog up the middle with two big men.

  8. The Mavs should have drafted Giannis in 2013 instead of Shane Larkin, and that was the time it made sense and was doable. As I recall, in an uncommon move at the time Giannis was being drafted, GM Donny Nelson publicly campaigned to draft him — calling him “the next Dr. J” — which campaign was seemingly the beginning of the end for Nelson as GM and may have eventually also led to not drafting that local kid Tyrese Maxey (instead, depending on a gambler for drafting advice on a player, picking a decent player from Australia that no one else on earth had being drafted that high), not offering Brunson an extension (twice) and ultimately trading Luka at a discount (by a sneaker sales executive). (HMM, who would rely on a gambler and shoe sales executive to make long term franchise personnel decisions?). As it stands, the Mavs will not be a competitive bidder for Giannis (unless some secret negotiation is taking place?), who should still be a valuable asset for any team at least for a few years; for the Mavs, Giannis would probably have been more valuable for immediate championship purposes if he had been paired with Luka and Kyrie (or Brunson and/or Maxey) rather than with Cooper (different timeline), Kyrie and AD (too injury prone).

  9. Giannis' contract is eerily similar to AD. Of the two I'd rather have Giannis but he's not coming to Dallas for what we have to offer after AD. Besides the Mavs need a PG so Kyrie can resume playing off the ball ala his time with Luka.

Dump AD somewhere for a PG.
