Honestly, I think this will be better for his career long-term.
Raiders have a ROUGH situation. Tough division, roster in need of a major rebuild, and a bad owner. Even if he went in and gradually improved the team, there is no guarantee he wouldn’t be fired after a couple of years. Some guys never get another chance after that.
Plus, assuming he does well as the OC, it will be easier for him to be rehired as an OC should HC not work out.

I wonder if Sean is going to let Davis call some plays occasionally. There was the rumor SP was willing to let Joe Brady do it to be his OC, he might make the same concession to Davis. Also, I wonder if this is a bit of a succession plan. It’d make a lot of sense.

Have to think a lot, if not all of the remaining 2025 staff are eager to run it back after a devastating end to such a good season. This tells me the feeling in the building is Super Bowl or bust for 2026, and that’s very exciting.
Not really understanding how you would hire a position coach to leap to HC without them having some experience as a full coordinator. Staying with Denver and becoming an OC is a much better move. Likely becomes SP successor if SP retires with a broncos superbowl and doesn’t get fired before his tenure wraps up. Go broncos.
