In the 2024 NFL draft, Bears GM Ryan Poles wanted to trade up to pick Rome Odunze. Watch our new GM Ian Cunningham help him exercise restraint. Odunze would fall to the Bears at the 9th pick.

  1. There’s a confidence in these decisions that I like to see. Poles actually looks quite frazzled in comparison.

  2. Washington fan here, our GM search came down to Ian or Adam Peters. I think y’all got a great one. Maybe the better one.

  3. Wonder if Cunningham even comes here if the falcons take Odunze and roll with Kirk. Hard to know what that future would’ve been.

  4. If only someone had done this for us every time we trade up in the second for someone who wasn’t predicted to be picked before ours.

Bergeron and Orrorroho would probably have been there at our original pick.

  5. if my coworker was loudly chewing gum like that right next to me I would lose my fucking mind

  6. The gum chewing makes this unlistenable. For me, I’d rather watch Art the Clown than hear that… gross.

  7. Did y’all catch that Cunningham was citing metrics about likelihood that a player would be there? Pretty fascinating.

  8. Terry rarely ever let the draft come to him. Very reactive & frantic drafter. Trading up a lot to get “his guys” when plenty of great players would have fallen. I like this from Cunningham!

  9. Hey, I only quickly watched the video in between calls at work does this or does this not give the impression that the draft happens a little bit faster than the product we see on TV? I couldn’t tell if they were cuts between those pics, but it felt like four picks happened within about two minutes.
