  1. in my mind he was always rounding the bases holding that american flag, chasing records. he symbolized something idyllic in the world, and, in a weird way, the kid in me still admires him for that.

it’s really discouraging to hear about what’s happened since.

  2. Not that I’m trying to defend him but what is this website and how is anyone supposed to know if this is legit?

  3. For anyone who didn’t click the link, he was accused of being at a party that Trump and Epstein were also at where women were auctioned off for prostitution. There’s no mention of their being underage. Not defending him or saying he’s innocent, it’s definitely not a good or even neutral thing to be at a salacious party Epstein is at, but there is no accusation of wrongdoing in this file aside from being aware of prostitution (not necessarily of underage women).

  4. For those glancing through it, there is a Bobby Cox.

It is not that Bobby Cox, not unless Bobby was also a scout for models.

  5. “Do you want to know the terrifying truth, or do you want to see me sock a few dingers?”

    – Sammy Sosa probably

  6. I don’t care for this selective nonsense. Is Sosa the president? Released the full files

  7. Damn, I guess I just have to assume anyone famous is an asshole at the very least, and a perverted pedo/rapist/trafficker at the worst.

  8. We’re just going to gloss over Jamie Foxx also being in the same paragraph? Big yikes

  9. I mean he was already a huge piece of shit, don’t know why our fans still like him.

  10. I plan to ignore all reports of people in those files until they’re *all* released. The White House is incriminating others in an attempt to deflect from the one name/face that matters most.

  11. I’m not defending Sosa here, but “Sammy Sosa in Epstein files” is a technically correct post title but way too reductive, it’s practically clickbait. I mean, thousands of redditors have already read this title and a whole bunch of them probably thought “Damn, Sammy is a pedophile?” and then kept scrolling.

The actual screenshot is an anonymous claim seemingly made over the phone to somebody at some agency presumably in the Justice Department. The agent who entered the claim into the screenshotted document tried to call the claimant back but the provided phone number didn’t work. So to be clear, we’re talking about a claim that hasn’t been investigated in any capacity. The substance of the claim is definitely some terrible, criminal stuff (although no mention of anybody underage, so uhh I guess that’s a small victory?), but the whole thing is a single paragraph and Sosa is only mentioned as being at the party where this happened. To be clear, that’s not great! But taking out the context and just posting “Sammy Sosa Epstein!” is kind of shitty IMO.

  12. I don’t give a fuck about retired athletes being in the Epstein files, I give a lot of fucks about the fact that the sitting president is in there more than anybody else and nobody is doing shit about it
