1. I lived in Victoria for 17 years, I can 100% guarantee you, not Montreal, not any other Canadian team fanbase hates the Leafs more than the Vancouver fans…bar none. I don't know about the leafs but I am sure the canucks will be ready…lol.

6. Ok so, a soft sell, that will probably happen, you get rid of 4-5 guys for low picks and similar guys…the problem is much deeper than that. The problem is your top players are bonafide, proven and certified losers…all of them. Rielly, Nylander, Matthews and Tavares…losers.

12. I swear to you: as a lifelong Leafs fan, and regarding the current Matthews era, this is the very first time that I actually don't mind the team losing. 5-2? 6-1? Regulation loss? It genuinely doesn't matter. I'm not affected at ALL. Losing used to hurt. Like, genuinely. It actually hurt to lose hockey games. It doesn't anymore. Not this iteration of the team. I'm actually a little bit relieved saying this out loud.

    We need a change. The team needs to change. Either leadership within the roster, coaching staff, or all the way up to the top. Winning or losing games simply does not matter at this point in the season. Let's start thinking about the next season or the season after that and who we wanna build around. Getting rid of EVERYONE isn't realistic, so right now, the most important thing from a macro perspective is who do we keep?

25. We have to be honest. The last few years they traded everything away because they had a chance. Now we're here and we're terrible. Can't blame Treliving probably Shanny for the Marner debacle.
    Give Treliving and Craig a few years, see what they can do. If they can flip it quickly, great. If not bye bye.

26. the pressure from the business and marketing side to continue to press with the personalities they have (34 and 88 in particular) must be enormous. Hopefully they signal after the break they're sellers. Acknowledging reality is a good thing. but there needs to be a plan.

28. born in 67. fan all my life and i have taken abuse a long time. Finally a rebuild and i was hopeful for heavy, fast, mean hockey. i get a college kid gm who is more into basketball strategy. Who threw away assets like crazy for small,skilled and soft. Today for me, I would welcome a rebuild. The rebuild we just had was awesome at brought so much hope to us fans. A retool is a joke- all it does is turns us into the Canucks

31. What we see is their act. They have known from the get go they did not have it as a team. Waive the useless Machelli. Fire Tre. Berube gone after season. Back to the drawing board. No players few assets. Willy and Auston have checked out to focus on the Olympics. Get goalies that can play a few games without falling apart.

33. Flipping between the oilers and leafs games was like night and day. Both teams weren’t playing well. But in the third period one team showed they believed they could come back and win. The other didn’t.

37. Leafs kaput (unfortunately).. If they don't make the playoffs, it's probably best. I'm not sure how much trust Leafs Land can have in Treliving's decision-making, but perhaps a rebuild—no matter how small—is on the horizon.

38. False hope is lethal (Ailish), just wasting time if they don't do a rebuild even if it is a small rebuild. The issue is Treliving. I have little to no faith in Pizza Man to make things right.
