3. Nick is clueless. That 8-0-2 run was a mirage. The Leafs only beat one team on that run that was in the playoffs the night they played. That was the Avs. When they went home to play 5 teams in the playoffs, they were 0-4-1 and outscored 25-12. Then saying Treliving should stay because he gets the Toronto market?

   Treliving needs to go and should have never been hired to begin because Shanahan should have been fired ages ago. Berube should have never been hired as well.

   Both Berube and Treliving need to go ASAP.

4. Matthews is a baseball player he bats 200 hits 40 – 50 homers and strikes out the rest of the time. He doesn't care about winning he plays to score and if he can't score he is just there striking out all game.

They proved what we feared that our beloved Leaf’s start of the season would crumble n fall to last nights brutal Lackadaisical game since 1985 season. Leafs have shown that they have gone from Bad to worst display of basic Hockey knowledge. They have proven that they are not interested in fanbase or professionalism,We feared the worst in this team effort but not in this case of pure Dog Piss n Shit. Leafs are not only getting their Shit pumped but also getting their Shit handed to them on a dogs bowl . The lack of play on ice n off is poorly displayed in front our eyes .     How about something that will seem crazy (completely out the box, and a total makeover)…..what about a three way trade with the Leafs, Devils & Wild….Stolarz, Reilly, Matthews to Wild for Wallstedt and Quinn Hughes (UFA in 26-27)…..trade Woll, Domi, McCann, Carlo , Nylander, Knies to Devils for Markstrom, plus Luke & Jack Hughes….this might make sense to Devils as Domi, McCann, Nylander, Knies played for Sheldon Keefe…..reunites Hughes brothers….frees up some cap space for Leafs….Markstrom & Wallstedt would make a great 1A and 1B Swedish tandem….Hidebey is 3rd string and takes over from Markstrom eventually….complete remake of Leafs…..not a full rebuild but more than just retool…..then if really want to get crazy sign Jason Robertson as free agent (teaming up on Leafs with brother Nick)…..obviously we would need Leafs to think completely outside the box (as I have) to do so…..a new coach and new GM plus new blood….new chemistry…..

32. Dumbis paid the core like they were winners when they hadn't won anything. That meant the Leafs couldn't fill out the roster with decent players and had to give up many who could have helped. It has steadily gone downhill to the point that it is difficult to name one player on the team that is performing in a way that can equal winning in the playoffs. There is nobody on the team that is untouchable if draft picks and/or younger faster players with guts can be received in return.

38. Fan for over 49 yrs. When I realized this organization will never win or care about Leaf fans, after that disgusting Knights game I have had enough. I don't blame the players, this sick culture comes all the way from the top. MLSE and Rogers don't care and are simply doing what they do best. Selling ads by owning all rights to Canadian hockey, definitely a conflict of interest. NHL sucks too! Gone forever!

39. You say they showed they can play the right way but think back to when that happened. Matthews and Nylander were both out and the Leafs played their best game of the year, humiliating their 'stars'. Matthews came back and lived up to his contract for a few games and now he is back to just going through the motions. They are never going to win anything with that guy. They will be lucky to make the playoffs again with him when you look at the resources they have available to build a team.

    The Leafs need to make a choice. Do they want to win at some time in the reasonably near future or do they want to help Austin achieve his dream of being the highest paid player of his generation? They can't do both.
