Does anyone feel really worried about the upcoming season?
I feel like the only certainty we have going into next season is Jayden and you could say Terry. That’s extremely worrisome considering both of their injures last year. Defense is God awful, hopefully we land Caleb Downs at 7. Seems like we have to have a perfect draft and offseason with limited picks. The division also got better coaching wise. Don’t want to overly pessimistic, but someone PLEASE tell me how we make the playoffs next season?? (see attached schedule).
Side note: I’m 24 from NYC, been a fan my entire life.

Depends if we get jaysus or rg4
No. Low expectations means I dont get worried, we’re shit.
5-12 coming up, it’s all good as long as they don’t waste picks this year 2027 should be fun
I have no idea how you guys survive sports fandom if you’re legit worried about a schedule.
Each week is a war. We’re gonna win some and we’re gonna lose some.
The Skins found their level this season after a fluke season last year. The schedule looks pretty brutal. I like watching with zero expectations because I don’t get let down…
Tough schedule
Tough schedule, going to have hope hat AFC South regresses next year. It’s going to be a season defined by whether the team looks like it’s moving in the right direction.
Now we have a new OC & a new DC so I’m not worried about what can happen until I see how the team plays
If the offense and kick return gets back to 2024 form we’ll be in every game and possibly playoff contention. That year Vegas set our O/U at 6.5 and we won 12 games. Not like our roster was a bunch of world beaters then.
Schedule looks tough but it’s a week-to-week league man. I have the same questions as you about the roster but none of that matters until games are actually played.
How the hell is this a third place schedule? Lol
I’d look at it the opposite. Sadly don’t live in DC anymore, but there are some very good home games there. Likely be some fun ones to go to for sure.
I’ll zag a little bit. I don’t think it’s *that* bad of a schedule outside of the 3 good NFC West teams and of course our own division.
Texans have a legitimate QB problem (they also started the season 0-3 and then 3-5 before ripping off 9 in a row, so hopefully we play them early). The Vikings punked us this year but I don’t think they have a QB. It doesn’t seem out of the question that either the Jags or Colts (or both) could regress. Bengals is a toss up (will probably be a shootout). Falcons are not good but I like Stefanski so I’ll say that might be tougher than it looks on paper. Cards and Titans are legit bad.
Even if you’re a pessimist and assume 2-4 in division and a loss to all of Seattle, LAR, and SF, I still see the rest as *very* winnable. I think 10-7 or 9-8 is a reasonable outcome assuming we play somewhere in between 2024 and 2025. Obviously it could all implode but I don’t think the schedule is the *reason* it will. I see a definite path to a wild card spot
Every year half the teams in e playoffs don’t go back. This is prove it time.
Respectfully, it seems like you have a pre conceived notion in your head & idk what anyone here can do to alleviate that unless AP is lurking somewhere, what I will say and honestly what should be clear NFL wide is that it is a year to year thing. If you have a QB, you’re ahead of the game but with our defense and primarily IMO injuries, we regressed. I would say regarding our prospects, the Panthers had a historically bad defense in ‘24 and were in the playoffs and could’ve advanced in ‘25. Overall, I care less about the schedule and more about the roster, shit is hard for everyone, just be healthy when it matters.
NFL is a week to week league, so let’s revisit this conversation when we have an idea of what the team is going to look like closer to the fall. Plus all the teams that are good this year are not going to be the same teams a year from now
Okay, here’s how we make the playoffs….
you ready for it…??
WIN. THE. DIVISION.
Don’t worry about going 14-3. We don’t have to be the best team in football. They all have the same schedule as we do. Just do better than them and we’re in. All 4 teams are question marks right now. We don’t know what any of these teams will be. Just do better than them. That’s it.
It’s that simple.
Get better.
Beat your division.
Go to the dance.
Edit: you all see a hard schedule…I see the rest of the nfc. If we can’t beat them then i don’t wanna be in the playoffs. Let’s find out what we are.
Another 5 win season maybe
Road looks much easier than home
Over under 5.5 wins.
Just win, baby
Every year is different. Teams change dramatically, injuries happen, teams regress or get better dramatically from year to year.
NFC West was the beast Division this year, the year before that it was the NFC North. Things change so dramatically in the NFL that I would never worry about a schedule until the season is on its way.
One year, grant Paulson was so happy bc we had all day games and no prime time games.. he’s such a bitch. Give me all the smoke. You play who’s in front of you and have to beat the best to be the best
Brother, I just watch the games and react to them. We have no control over the schedule, why worry? I agree the NFC West is going to be tough, and the Jaguars and Texans are good teams. Not to mention our division is likely to improve overall, outside of maybe Philly which could stay the same (not a bad thing for them). But we have a whole offseason to make changes. Just because last year was bad doesn’t mean this year will be.
With the Eagles hiring Steve from accounting for their OC, how unpredictable Dallas is from season to season, and NY learning the fun way why Harbaugh was fired (and why he was almost fired before Lamar saved his job), I genuinely don’t know what’s going to happen.
Seattle and LA are unarguably way better than us at this point in time. I have no problem checking those up as losses. The rest could really go either way with a healthy team.
I am optimistic because whenever people are optimistic, it blows up in our faces. When we have low expectations, we overperform. Sure, everything could blow up and Quinn and staff get fired, but we shall see. Jayden staying healthy and adding young talent is all I care about.
I still think it is key we eventually get a HC who owns his offence and philosophy so no matter who we lose on staff, we keep that identity.
That’s a lot of playoff teams coming off of a 5 win season.
No. Especially considering we haven’t had the draft or FA yet. Way too early to be worried about this shit
Only scary teams are the Seahawks, Rams, Jags, and Niners. Everybody else is beatable if our team stays healthy.
Seahawks Rams Texans likely Ls
Rest honestly could go either way
I see the team having 6 to 9 wins with that schedule
Do I feel worried? No. As someone who is also an avid Capitals fan, you have absolutely no idea what the next season will bring. We still have free agency and the draft to pay attention to.
You at this point, I’m realizing we never know what the schedule will turn into.
The team has focusing on improving defense and Jayden getting back to form.
If you want to be a good team, you have to beat good teams. The schedule is what it is.
Check back around preseason.
Daniels puts together another MVP caliber season
If you want to worry, go for it. This past year was tough, but this is a fun team to be a fan of right now. Lots of unanswered questions will be answered in ‘26, and I doubt injuries will be as bad as they were in ‘25. I like both coordinator hires, it’s an offseason for AP + DQ to rethink things after things went poorly, and it seems like DQ is open to change and improving process even if it deviates from his initial plans. Maybe it’s all for nothing, but I’m excited to see the changes no matter what the result is.
We only have 7 games vs this years playoff teams. We can excel
Let’s ball out
7-11?
17-0 ez
That’s not an easy schedule.
Wtf! That schedule is harder than this years
The playoffs don’t matter to me unless I think we have a legit shot at taking it all. What’s important to me is are we improving and building a team that can legitimately be in the conversation of contenders for the superbowl year after year. The team lacks star power in addition to quality starters. Hopefully we knock this draft, such as it is with limited picks, out of the park.
Gotta draft and build up the roster better.
I’m going to that game in Nashville!
10-7
So Im looking at the schedule and it looks like we’re going to win every game by 20 points or more.
I mean, we’re probably not making the playoffs. That’s OK. Most teams don’t make the playoffs most years. If we get close to .500 and show real improvement, that would be excellent.
Making the playoffs is great and all, but we’ve got a long road to becoming an actually good team (not just a team with a hot offense and some lucky bounces). I’d be super excited to see us making progress down that road.
