Texans are running it back with the same staff

  1. Well if next season goes bad the blame game on the coaching staff can really be legitimate

  2. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I don’t think it’s coaching that’s to blame for CJ’s shortcomings

  3. How does the LB coach get fired but not the QB coach. I hate how unserious this team is man.

  4. Welp I have no confidence that CJ will turn it around now. I can’t wait until we move on from him in 2027 and he goes to the Rams or Vikings and fixes his career.

  5. Genuinely surprised nobody has tried to poach our defensive coaches yet other teams with average units got some of their coaches stolen lol

  6. Well there’s only 2 things that can be done now knowing this.

    1. Fix the o-line. (Get a dedicated LG so Tytus can play the position he’s best at, and get a C.)

    2. CJ has to find his balls again.

  7. Sounds like the recipe for another master class defense getting wasted on an early playoff exit

  8. “Don’t change what’s broken,” but obviously our QB is broken so I would’ve thought we move on from the QB coach :’)

  9. Ugh. Why? I get keeping Caley as OC even if I don’t like it. But come on- there’s no justification for not making changes in the staff underneath him.

  10. Jerrod Johnson had some of the best PR men in the game.

Accomplished noting and keeps getting floated for jobs he doesn’t deserve.

Best QB coach Stroud has had was Keenum.

  11. At least we’ll get back to playoffs fourth straight year, get knocked out second round. Something to look forward to at least no?

  12. Hopefully CJ and Jerrod can work together to figure out how to get CJ back on track. This season could very well be their last chance, before a potential QB1 shakeup.

  13. I’ll continue to take the flames on this, but if they don’t change the coaches around him and CJ has regressed for the last two seasons, then it’s not going to be CJs fault if he doesn’t improve. It’s on DeMeco, Caserio and Cal.

  14. It’s shocking how few connections Caley has despite being in the league for a while. Either that or they told him he has to keep the guys already on staff. He literally only brought one dude with him when he was hired. If Caley either can’t or won’t put his own stamp on this offensive coaching staff, why is he here? There’s no way the team can be satisfied with the offensive coaching this year.

  15. I’m thinking that internally they view CJ as the main issue if they aren’t making many coaching staff changes.
