I’m whelmed but we have an average guy in the outfield now which is more than we could’ve said 10 minutes ago
Just need to sign a veteran starting pitcher, and this team is ready to take the next step this year.
Typical White Sox free agent signing, which is to say “that’s fine, not a big signing it shouldn’t blow up in their faces” but it also has a 40% chance of blowing up in their faces
Honestly love this move. Low risk high upside, have always liked Hays and he’s been good outside of injuries.
Not the worst signing especially given where we are in the rebuild and our current roster construction/prospect pipeline.
One day our caliber of signings will hopefully go up…. One day.
155 wRC+ against LHP last year. He’s always been a good short sided platoon player. If that continues he might be a deadline flip if/when Braden Montgomery is ready.
How many years? How much $?
Another pointless 30 year old stopgap outfielder signing. Color me surprised. Good thing we cleared money off the books and get revenue for the team via a hideous jersey patch.
Doesn’t even looks like Mays. Still plays like Hays.
Nice I was hoping they’d sign him as an extra depth piece.
Nobody in the OF really wows you, but you have a chance to have a competitive spring training.
Inching closer to an average OF, let’s see if Kelenic / Wade / Baldwin / Acuna / Hays can surprise!
Jerry just trying to spend enough to not be obvious of what he’s actually doing..
I hope he doesn’t get 300 PA’s against RHP next season. If he’s a platoon player, he’s valuable.
An outfielder! A living, breathing outfielder!
Good veteran stopgap. Ryan Fuller was his hitting coach in Baltimore when he had his all star season.
Getz always gets his (insignificant) man!
Hope he knows we have a pride night
God you are all a bunch of sad sacks. It’s all going in the right direction.
