You know what. That’s not crazy to say that unless Jimmy is projected to come back in less than a year

  1. That’s crazy but ultimately maybe the bucks aren’t interested in taking Jimmy’s contract.

  2. Pretty sure this isn’t because we want to keep Jimmy but because Bucks don’t want Jimmy

  3. Jimmy>Draymond. I respect and appreciate Draymond, but I’m sick of Draymond’s bullshit. Jimmy is going to heal up and play that Iguadala role when he gets back.

  4. Draymond for Giannis? Yes. Bro I don’t even care about Dray being a Warrior for life anymore… He’s done nothing but hurt the team the past few years. He’s more a liability than a benefit at this point.

  5. Bye! I been wanting him gone since he became a Klutch Media lackey anyways.

Steph gets you 4 of them thangs and you wanna be LeBron’s best friend. Pack your shit.

  6. It’s either the Bucks don’t want to pay Jimmy to rehab or the severity of the tear isn’t quite as bad as they thought. If Dray in the deal is the only thing preventing us from getting Giannis, I say do it.

Frankly, with Jimmy still on the books, we’d be able to either make another move if needed with his salary or he comes back and we have a decent big 3 barring health. Only concern with keeping all 3 salaries is that our bench becomes more ass because we can’t afford to keep Melton or snag free agents with the little cap space we’ll have.

  7. The Bucks are doing this because trading away Giannis and forcing the Warriors to keep an injured 50 mil contract for this season will do more harm than good to the Warriors’ standings, which will bump up the value of the 26 pick.

People need to remember Giannis is injured too, and prolly wont be back until March.

Good luck to the Warrior standings if they only have 7-8 rotational guys, and most of which aren’t even that good outside of Steph, Melton and Horford…

Melton is most certainly gone after this season as well, since another team will most likely offer up a better bag to him than anything the Warriors can give.

Team building will be extremely butchered since they’re paying 150+ million to 3 players, and they’ll be forced to surround them with Vet Min players, which we all know isn’t a formula for success for championship teams.

They won’t be able to offload Jimmy because they have no picks remaining.

And with Jimmy gone for half of the season next season, I do not care that the team has Steph and Giannis, the lack of bench and good rotational pieces will almost certainly result in the Warriors digging a hole so deep in the first half of the season, that it makes it difficult for them to climb back up even with a healthy Jimmy in the second half.

And so what’s left? Wait for Jimmy’s contract to just expire for more cap flexibility? Steph will be 40 by that year and there’s no certainty he’ll even resign for 2028 and if he’ll still be performing at a high level.

And for all this talk about winning now, waiting 2 more years just to have a shot at contention sure does seem like backwards thinking.

  8. This is fine, but we’d need to dump Jimmy’s salary in some other way then. Can’t get by on 3 supermaxes in 2026.

  9. I like to keep Jimmy. Would suck ass that he got an ACL Tear, and got traded to one of the worst teams.

If Giannis & Steph does win a championship, atleast Jimmy would get a ring.

But realistically, the Bucks may not want Jimmy because he’s to be paid $50M this season and next season, and Jimmy is out this entire season. And there’s no telling what shape Jimmy will be in post-rehab at 37

  10. another reason i havent seen anyone say is even though jimmy is a $55m expiring next year, he has a horrible reputation as a locker room cancer if he isnt bought in. Obviously he wont want to be around the team as a mentor vet if the bucks go full rebuild, and have no plans to pay him or find him a trade partner who will extend him. I also dont know he would even want to rehab there for the next year

  11. The only money options that add up are Butler, Draymond/Kuminga/Buddy, or Kuminga/Buddy/Moody/Horford/Podz

  12. All I’m thinking is if we somehow have Steph, Jimmy and Giannis next season that is an incredible trio and a championship possible core

  13. Lol when is the last time you have seen come back sooner than a year with a acl tear? Let alone (37?) year old

  14. I don’t think mfs realize that if Jimmy is back healthy midway next season with Steph n giannis that’s a dangerous big 3
