As a Phins fan I prefer we wait until there’s a QB rich draft in 2027! I’d even say trade down and gather more picks. Draft Sonny Styles in the teens. Pick a developmental guy in 2026 and see how he performs.
So much for building from the inside out. The Dolphins have a lot of holes to fill and not a lot of money to fill those holes with, trading draft picks to reach for a QB would be stupid.

Miami should be trading down in the 1st round. They shouldn't trade up at all this draft.
If they were to trade back into the first for anybody, let alone a QB, I'd be calling for the return of Chris Grier; there are too many holes on the roster as is, they are looking to get younger and cheaper, and JES isn't one to burn draft capital like Grier. I see them taking a flyer on a QB at some point during day 3 (or late day 2), going off of what JES said during his introductory press conference – but 2027 is when you take your swing at a 'franchise' level of QB.
Miami has set everything up perfectly to get Malik Willis then in the late rounds get Cole Peyton since they said we will draft a quarterback every year.

This would be a waste of capital as their is not any qb worth a first plus capital to get back into the first. No wat
We are actually pretty strong up the middle with players that are already on the roster.
We are in need of a right guard on the offensive line and possibly a right tackle.
Defensive We should be extremely strong up the middle on Defensive line, now that we are going to a 4-3 base. Yes we need some ends.
However, taking a quarterback to develop if you really like the guy is a good idea. Remember, he's going to sit this year at minimum.
We are going to need a couple drafts at least to get this ship heading in the right direction.

If you think there's a super bowl caliber quarterback in the first round of this draft, not named mendoza and I'm not sold on him, you're more clinically brain dead that the Dolphins brain trust has been for the last 25 years. I thought the new regime was supposed to be anti stupid?
