Is this news? Did anyone seriously think Isles would trade for Stamkos?
If I were Roy, I’d have a hard time ever challenging GI unless it’s late in a close game. I would just trust my team to step up and get the job done.
I have strongly disagreed with just about every challenge Roy has made since he got here. Not to say I agree with the original call on all of them, but if you’re trying to overturn a call, you’re gonna need some irrefutable evidence.
Last night’s is a good example. Hated the GI call. But you have to know there’s not enough there to overturn it.
Islanders defence giving up too many dangerous chances???
*shocked Pikachu face*
Roy must have the worst success rate of challenges ever. I’d rather he never challenge
Don’t want him
Really the NHL should say you can’t challenge goaltender interference. They never overturn it no matter how wrong they are.
Only way I’m moving a first and a prospect + is if Jason Robertson is the player being acquired (26 and is an RFA), and even then, Dallas ain’t moving him mid-season when they’re expecting another deep playoff run. These next 3 games vs Washington, Pittsburgh and New Jersey are massive.
I’ll take the GI but I think not calling an embellishment on Saros was more egregious. Throwing the blocker and falling like he’d been shot
