Will kill me. We did this last year too. I’m begging the schedule makers to let us start on the east coast or at a reasonable time. Is this to bookend our spring training by staying out west or maybe some other logical reason?

They do this every year. It’s because of Ohio weather
Ah yes start the season on the east coast where it’ll still be snowing. Love it when the first few games get postponed
Brutal set of series to open with.
Yes, we start on the west coast frequently because it’s easier travel and such coming from ST. Easier on the players, not necessarily the fans.
I’m a second shift worker who is usually up until 1-2am and even I hate 10pm starts. Would it kill them to start west coast games an hour earlier?
For once I’m unbothered by this schedule. My wife and I are welcoming our first child in early March so I will 100% be up watching all of those games with my daughter.
I truly hate 10:00 PM start times for opening day. Just a giant FU to the fans.
I live in Oregon and dislike west coast start times too. I now prefer the games from 4-6:30 local time.
Also, Mariners are blacked out on [MLB.TV](http://MLB.TV), so I can’t watch the first 4 games unless I subscribe to the regional sports network, which i don’t .
ugh i get why we typically start on the road but they have to be night games? Like cant we get a 4pm Est start time? or Maybe have us start down south? ugh
Wut
Couldn’t we start the season facing Tampa Bay, Arizona, or Texas or something if snow is why we’re starting in Seattle. Late night start time for EST is annoying
Least with those teams the latest it be would probably be 710 pm/810 pm
I foresee us going 9-0 in those games shown in the screenshot, tho
