TIL The RCMP used a fake giveaway of tickets to a Flames game to lure a suspected murder suspect into confession.

  1. tl;dr: the suspect “won” a ticket to a Flames game (the RCMP intentionally selected him) and at the game sat next to an undercover RCMP officer who recruited said suspect into a gang to distribute drugs. Neither the drugs or gang were real, and before the murder suspect’s “initiation” he confessed to the murder, giving the RCMP the evidence needed to convict him.

Edit: Found a docu [here](https://youtu.be/0muWH6hexZg?si=FKBOAYu9bl0mOljC) that covers it also.

  2. Back in 2005…nowadays you couldnt get a jaywalking confession for flames tickets

  3. I mean it was 2004, can you blame the guy? (For being an idiot and being enticed by flames tickets.. not the whole..you know.. murder stuff)

  4. Sounds like they pinned a murder on your average mentality ill flames fan and got to catch a hockey game at the same time. Brilliant work

  5. “During conversations with undercover officers, Bridges said he was “too pretty to go to jail” and looked forward to starting a new life.”

He could have avoided this if he didnt murder the poor woman.
