[Kaye] Fun fact Canales is now in the top half of longest tenured coaches going into year 3

I’ve always found the coaching carousel quite annoying. There are 31 losers every year, that’s just the math. Makes it harder to follow a team.
The shelf life of NFL coaches is incredibly short and fragile. The league is always chasing trends, hunting for the next Sean McVay or Ben Johnson, and it’s never satisfied with what they already have. That mindset shows wit us too, this subreddit and Panthers fans in general are constantly looking ahead instead of dealing with the reality in front of them.
I’m in the boat that says we have our coaches,
player’s…. We have needs
Something to be said for consistency around schemes and philosophies. Takes time to build a roster that fits. Constant turnover and you have improper fits as an offense and defense get ran.
It’s easy when a third of the league fires their head coach in a single offseason.
As a team that was changing coaches like socks….you have to give guys time. This will be year three of running same system, same playbook. That means more than people think. And until Tepper shows he isn’t going to fire a guy in 8 games we aren’t getting a coach better than Canales anyways.
Ben Johnson who i wanted more than anything would not even get on a plane for a interview here. Perception is reality and we are finally changing that
