DAY 442 (1045/545) on THE ROAD TO THE 2026 6TH WBSC-MLB WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC – At the Halfway Mark to 2028
With the Winter Olympics beginning this Wednesday, the halfway mark to 2028 and those Olympic baseball games in Los Angeles is now upon us.
David Robertson’s recent retirement surely feels sad for all of us as we await those July days wherein our sport celebrates with great joy these upcoming Games which mark the return of baseball to this international event for the first time since August 2021, and his legacy and that of the many Tokyo Olympians who were there continue to impact our sport to this day.
In a month from now the World Baseball Classic serves as the great event that will unite all of us baseball fans everywhere as a celebration of the sport’s best of the best from 20 national organizations, as they fight for gold and glory before watching fans – serving as the preview of what July 2028 and the coming Olympics baseball series will bring to all of us.
The WBC, as well as the upcoming qualifier events, will be gearing all of us in the sport towards the Summer Olympics of 2028.
