With Olynyk and Biyombo struggling a 3rd center is once again a need. Also would allow more double big lineups

I went from fan to casual because I don’t know who these guys are.

  2. this is fine, but I do hope we can secure a decent stretch 4 ala Royce O’Neale or Bobby Portis

starting black history month off right

another big for the playoff run

  4. As an Indianapolis resident, I’m very familiar with Bitadze and hated the way he played for IND. There was some coaching issues (before Carlisle) but still couldn’t give him the benefit of the doubt. He seemed to be a bad locker room guy too and I don’t want him on one of my two teams (either Spurs or Pacers) again.

If an executive was on the fence and changes his mind after reading this thread, so be it. I still like Biyombo. Our 3rd string center doesn’t need to be a stretch or offensive power, just get rebounds. Boardmen get paid.

  5. I remember being bummed because Goga was drafted one pick before ours and then being outright flabbergasted when we took Samanic.

    Good times.

  6. I’m just here to say that if there is a voting for the most stylish player in the league, my vote goes to Goga

  7. Interesting. Goga Is genuinely really solid. Would be a huge upgrade over Kelly. Good enough to be a genuine backup center, and currently overqualified as a third string. His defensive numbers have been stellar when he’s gotten consistent minutes with the magic

I wonder if San Antonio might have gotten enough Looks at the Vic and Luke combo and want to run it more often with them together, and want to have a backup center to absorb minutes if there’s ever situations where both those guys are off the court at the same time

Williams, healthy, is one of the five best rim protectors in the entire NBA. But I simply don’t think we’re ever going to see the healthy version of him again. Wouldn’t be a bad third string if the price is pretty much nothing

  8. If we get either I wouldn’t mind flirting with the idea of running Wemby at the 4 and Kornet at the 5. Regardless having another true big that can run next to Wemby and do some dirty work is never a bad thing.

  9. I don’t….see the need for a 3rd center? Team has arguably the best center rotation in the league as it is

  10. Everyone mocks every French player to us because of Wemby, it is nice to see some Georgian players mocked to us because of Castle.

  11. I’ll always love Timelord but he just can’t stay healthy. He’s amazing when he’s healthy but you can’t acquire him and expect him to be available for every game.

  12. Would love an offensive rebounding force for us. We get rocked by Mitchell Robinson, or Steven Adams every time.

  13. The article doesn’t say that the Spurs are viewed as frontrunners. Just said they’re one team interested.

  14. This is Brett Siegel not Scotto, two different tiers of reliability. And “frontrunner” wasn’t the language used in the Article.

With that said adding center depth with the Sochan salary spot isn’t the worst thing. Even though Goga has a guaranteed year next year he’s a better stylistic fit to throw out on the court during injury issues and foul troubles for our bigs opposed to Yabusele because of his size and defensive impact

  15. Did Williams play with Kornet on the Celts? That might be a better fit despite his health issues

  16. Besides naming the wrong author and calling us front runners when the piece does not, pretty good post title

  17. Not sure how this really helps. Doesn’t help with the need at the power forward position and doesn’t help with the lack of shooting on the roster.

  18. why would we want goga after the way he played this past game? He was just holding our guys all game.. hell nah

Go for Williams just for his amazing upside
