Mal’s comment inspired me to wonder: What if the NBA all star game was a 3 on 3 tournament. The top 8 vote getters have a snake draft to pick 2 teammates. Divide teams into 2 groups of 4 to play round robin. Top two teams from each group advance to final knockout tourney. Each game is 6 minutes long except the finals is 12. Winner ends up playing 5 games/36 minutes of play time. Played in the half court so less tiring…no running up and down.
They could have 2 games playing at the same time. One on each half court. For viewer entertainment and to keep the length of time for the event shorter. Some kind of prize for the winners…
I didn’t know he said this, Im glad someone did. You can be competitive without getting injured. The way the play now is ridiculous. I haven’t watched the ASG game in years
