BREAKING: Multiple Star Free Agents JUST SIGNED! White Sox Made ANOTHER Trade, More WBC Bad News

In recent MLB offseason moves, the Boston Red Sox traded reliever Jordan Hicks (along with prospect David Sandlin and cash) to the Chicago White Sox in a salary-dump deal, receiving minor league pitcher Gage Ziehl in return as Boston offloaded most of Hicks’ remaining contract obligations. Separately, Eugenio Suárez returned to the Cincinnati Reds on a one-year, $15 million free-agent contract (with a mutual option for 2027), reuniting with his former team after a strong power-hitting 2025 season. Meanwhile, three-time batting champion Luis Arraez signed a one-year, $12 million free-agent deal with the San Francisco Giants, where he’ll play second base to bolster their contact-oriented lineup.

  1. Fuzz, you're mad at the wrong people/organization. It's not the folks running the WBC that won't let these players play; it's their MLB teams' insurance agency. MLB managers (once again) screwed up something that was supposed to be nice because of greed.

  2. I want to drop Christian Walker from the Astros, and Trade the A's for Nick Kurtz. Pay 80% of Walker's salary. Let the younger better hitter play. So what about this :
    Astros Give:

    Isaac Paredes 3B (3yrs Control. 9 mil/arb)

Yainer Diaz (Several years of control. Cheap. 30 homer potential at C. Young too.)

Bryce Matthews for a future all
    star 2B (blocked by Altuve,)

And a Spencer Arrighetti or Miguel Ullola. Throw in a draft pick, then sign Kurtz to a 10 year deal.

  3. Yes, it’s a thing. Jose Ramirez was so underrated that he’s now overrated. He’s a very good baseball player, but not a first ballot type. Another player who may end up being like that is Nico Hoerner. I’m a Cubs fan and have seen him every day for the past 5-6 seasons. He’s a very, very good 2nd baseman, and if the Cubs trade him I’ll be pissed, but he’s also being hyped up beyond his peak, imo. As far as underrated players go, Mike Tauchman is the main guy in that category. He gets on base.

  4. I hope Araez becomes one of the strongest hitters in baseball history, proves everyone in front offices wrong, and and eventually ends up in the hof. 💪🏽

  5. Actually Matt Chapman is homegrown. He was born and raised in California and came up with the Oakland A's and being as the Oakland Coliseum is only 16 miles and a 23 minute drive to Oracle Park in SF, he most definitely is "home grown".

  6. If the cubs trade Nico Hoerner a lot of cubs fans and myself included will riot. But since Brendan Donovan is now a mariner the cubs hold all the leverage for a potential trade with the Red Sox and honestly I see a Matt Shaw trade to the Red Sox being more likely since the Red Sox need a player with more control and upside other than a 1 year rental in Nico. But I also believe the cubs are going to extend Nico before the trade deadline if he isn’t traded
