Thoughts on Kliff Kingsbury? Great, good, so-so, terrible?

  1. He’s a bad coordinator that’s failed everywhere he’s been. His system doesn’t work in the modern nfl.

He has weak run concepts and his pass concepts are built of short passing, his intermediate and deep passing is years behind the league,

Overall he’d be a terrible hire in my opinion

  2. My main gripe with Kliff is he has never been able to make in season adjustments. He installs his system, it works, defenses adjust and it all completely crumbles after that.

  3. He’s good for one year but doesn’t adjust accordingly and has been shown to have a ceiling at the nfl level

  4. Absolute A+ scheme guy our offense would super interesting. Some personality concerns. It would give it good at the point of hire with the potential to be great. Also the white boy energy in that room with Dart, Skat and Kingsbury would be undeniable

  5. I genuinely would rather hire Greg Roman. Kliff’s offense is gimmicky and dead in the water by week 10 Every. Single. Season. At least Roman’s offense is known for developing QBs because it has an easy learning curve and helps them gain confidence.

Davis Webb is probably the best option available at this point, followed by someone like Jake Peetz from Seattle. Jim Bob cooter would be a safe but uninspiring pick.

ETA you also have to remember that A) Kingsbury’s probably not getting HC looks for a while and B) one of Harbaugh’s main flaws is being too loyal to bad coordinators. If Dart outgrows Kingsbury’s offense or it gets figured out (it will) we better pray we don’t get stuck with him for 3 extra years. Dart is a potentially elite quarterback on a rookie contract. The best championship window we will ever get is RIGHT NOW. Look at the Patriots. We don’t have years to waste.

  6. I would be happy with this

Edit: Instead of downvoting can you explain to me why we shouldn’t be happy with this?

  7. I think hes a good OC and his system fits dart. Problem is harbough said he wants coordinators that can adjust their systems and i dont think kliff can do that

  8. I think the hate he receives is overblown. The commies were always gonna suck this year with those injuries and shit roster construction

  9. He’s to opposite of what harbs wants. Cliff is a system coordinator. Harbs wants a oc to design a system to his team.

  10. From what I’ve read about him so far he seems like the complete opposite of what Harbaugh has just been saying he wants. Harbaugh wants an OC that isn’t scheme dependent and can adapt to what the players are best at. Everything I’ve seen is that Kliff’s stubborn about changing his scheme at all.

  11. The fact its virtual says they are just checking if he says the right things. The Giants dont seem crazy about him.

  12. I dont dislike Kingsbury, but hes basically the opposite of the “scheme flexible” coordinator that Harbaugh said he wants.

  13. Kingsbury has the Commanders run shotgun 90% of the time. That’s trash, and I’m not interested in it, frankly.

  14. Kliff kinda makes me think of an OC version of Wink.

Absolutely loved in the locker room and will jumpstart an offense to an amazing first year with his scheme, but the second year every other team catches on and his scheme completely falls apart. Plus he has an ego and tends to but heads with every HC he works under which is why he bounces around so much.

Don’t mind him at all as a one year guy to maximize Dart though

  15. Would be a TERRIBLE hire. One trick pony that directly goes against everything Harbaugh said he wanted in an OC. Dude also doesn’t move his #1 WR around much still in 2026 ffs.

  16. Ex cards fan here. I like Kliff but his scheme can be pretty predictable and doesn’t adjust well. Not sure how it’s changed since he left AZ. When the offense was clicking though it was pretty awesome to see ngl
