Despite being traded to the Indiana Fever a year ago, Cunningham, 29, loves her current home base, and doesn’t seem to want to leave.
The pro basketball guard frequently gets asked why hasn’t moved out of Arizona yet, so she decided to put the answer to rest in a post she shared to Instagram Stories on Sunday, Feb. 1.
First, she shared a weather report from her current location in Phoenix, showing 80 degree temperatures and sunny skies. She then shared a casual selfie of herself rocking a messy bun, while resting her face in her hand, with the caption, “So everyone stop asking why I live in AZ still.”
Cunningham recently signed a deal to expand her career in entertainment
Cunningham has been busy lately, between rehabbing a right knee injury, which sidelined her from playing in the WNBA, and her “Show Me Something” podcast.

She also recently signed a deal with 3 Arts Sports, the management division of Liongate, to expand her career into entertainment.
The company announced the deal on social media last week with the greeting, “Welcome to the 3 Arts Sports team, Sophie Cunningham.”

“Sophie represents the modern athlete — bold, expressive, and driven by purpose beyond the game,” Aaron and André Eanes, co-heads of 3 Arts Sports, said in a joint statement, according to “Variety.”
“She brings a strong point of view, natural charisma, and a clear vision for where she wants to go next. We’re excited to work alongside her existing team to help build a platform that extends her impact into entertainment, storytelling, and meaningful business opportunities,” the statement continued.
