If the Pirates somehow end up dead last in the division something disastrous would have to happen
On the bright side when the pirates finish in 4th Ben Cherington and Travis Williams will be fired so a win is a win 🤷♂️
It was always gonna be unlikely the cardinals would deal him in division but this is just another option off the board.
The only two positives are that the only other team seriously looking to acquire another IF is Boston. And the cardinals look to be absolutely atrocious.
Pirates waited out every good trade chip and FA so they must be banking on Triolo being an everyday 3B
I was not a fan of trading with the Cardinals anyway because it would’ve been a premium.
So pumped to have him out of the division. It feels like he always kills us
Pirates brass always acts like they’re in some sort of driver’s seat. They get passed up in every discussion it seems. I don’t know if they were looking into Donovan, but to act like they have control of the left side of the infield in any way rn is a joke. Triolo is not a starting 3B… ss should be griffin, but they won’t do it because of control.
If they come up short early on this season,
It’s because of their reluctance to really go for it.
Who cares? He’s out of the division, thankfully. He was never going to be a Pirate. No way the Cardinals were sending him to a division rival. Total nonfactor.
