REVEALED: Cleveland Guardians Offseason GRADED Along With Extension and Prospect Trade Candidates

Cleveland Guardians fans voice growing frustration as another coveted bat slips away. Will the front office’s quiet offseason haunt a postseason push? Justin Lada and Jeff Ellis break down the Guardians’ current roster moves, trade deadline strategies, and off-season grades, and get questions whether Chris Antonetti and Mike Chernoff’s patient approach is still the right formula for sustainable success. We also discuss why it may not make sense to extend Kyle Manzardo, challenges in bringing in right-handed outfield help like Dane Myers, and how prospects such as Josh Hartle and Angel Genao could be part of Cleveland’s future or become trade chips. The show also confronts fan concerns on ownership transitions, missed free agent opportunities, and whether the Guardians’ front office is resting too much on past accomplishments.

  1. I give them a D.

They did just enough for the pen. They passed on much better arms. Although I do think the Armstrong signing is good.

All they did offensively was add Stuart Fairchild.

And give us a bunch of bs for the reasons they didn't add any help.

  2. I will admit, I didn't expect them to make moves. Talked myself into the "They must have 30 million to spend" and the striking out and inactivity leading into The Donovan move started to crack my foundation in being pleasant. Luckily the games are coming soon.

  3. When you have a clear problem, admit you have a clear problem, and do nothing to improve it despite several affordable options being available, you don’t get a favorable rating. You didn’t meet your stated goal.

Jose took another below market extension, Hedgey is back, bullpen is in good shape. That might save you from being a complete failure, but it’s also kind of the minimum expectation.

That said, can’t wait for spring training and to head to the corner in a couple months. Go Guards.
