Eli Manning thinks the Giants can make a jump next season similar to what the Patriots are doing this year.

“You look at the Patriots today, they got a second-year quarterback and a new coach, and you can make that jump. The Giants have a talented roster; they have good players. But I think we have the right players and the right leaders that can get everybody to believe that they can be a playoff team.”

  1. Just get a winning season and see where it takes them. If it’s a playoffs, great. If not, at least they’re trending in the right direction.

I’m not trying to be debbie downer. I’m trying to be realistic and manage expectations. There’s been a culture of losing for far too long with this organization, and that may take time to correct.

  2. Eli is fantastic at hyping this team up. Love the way he’s constantly throwing his support behind the players and makes himself available to whoever the QB is.

  3. Maybe it’s PTSD from the last decade of absolute garbage the giants have thrown out there each season, each of which had been preceded with some glimmer of hope, but I’m going to be temper my expectations going into next season. I’d rather be pleasantly surprised than tragically let down.

  4. The team could have had nine wins this year if they were able to hold a fourth-quarter lead. Three of those leads were against playoff teams, and two were by double digits. I will be shocked if the jump from Daboll to Harbaugh doesn’t result in meaningful December football.

  5. Not with the teams the Giants have to face this year. The schedule isn’t as brutal as the past two years, but it’s still way more loaded than what the Pats faced in 2025.

Definitely love Eli’s positivity here, he’s awesome.

  6. I don’t know why, but last season just broke me.

I’m expecting nothing. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

  7. I understand why Eli is saying this, he kind of has to. But no one should actually believe it. Harbaugh is cool and all but this team just won 4 games.

  8. I think we they have the ability to take a huge jump, but not on the level the Patriots took. I do think by the 2027 season they could be good enough to compete deep into the playoffs. We will have a lot more cap space, and have had more draft picks by then. Multiple years under the same coach. Good development time for Dart. The future is bright.

Like this off season is the first date, and if everything continues to go well, 2026 will be the 3nd date, and 2027 will be the 3rd date.
