[Stein] “Sources say that Harden, through various stretches of this season, has also eyed Minnesota and Atlanta as teams that appeal to him as potential landing spots, but the Wolves have been focused intently on their pursuit of Antetokounmpo as the deadline draws near.”

  1. Honestly would be a way easier move. Just trade Randle and Conley for Harden, get a vet min guy at the deadline like Slo Mo or whatever. You can also maybe make a smaller trade with Rob for some depth piece.

Harden/Ant/Jaden/Naz/Rudy with Donte off the bench is better than our current team and opens the path for more Beringer minutes and for us to get a top 15 player in the NBA that’s an insane playmaker.

  2. Sounds like Randle is 100% gone no? Either on a Giannis trade or a PG trade, especially if we’re talking to guys like Harden with contracts around 40 mil a year.

  3. For the right deal, I wouldn’t be mad. He doesn’t have to be Rocket Harden, he just needs to support Ant

  4. You guys are impossible lmao. A team that has sucked for a long time got to back to back wcfs and couldn’t get it done. Now they are trying to make that next step and it’s only complaining.

I don’t have the answers, but I’m gonna trust to front office.

    edit-dam Harden still averages 25 5 and 8.

  5. I don’t want Harden, unless it’s on a cheap deal. And Harden is looking for one last contract. He’s just not worth anything. We’ve seen his game shrink in the playoffs his entire career.

If we want to be better in the regular season and worse in the playoffs, great. If we want to take the next step, it’s an awful move.

If we’re going to try anything, just go sign CP3. At least then, if he suck, we won’t be put any money or key assets. Who would you be willing to trade for Harden? Because to me, any of our top 6 guys wouldn’t be worth giving up for 36 year old Harden that just wants another big contract.

  6. Harden’s ability to get to the free throw line, as gross as it is, would be so big for this team. Ant could learn from that as well.

Besides his own scoring, Harden unlocks more scoring from Gobert and Beringer. He’s a great lob passer.

  7. The best part about this trade deadline? It shows players are taking notice of just how good ant is becoming and how dominate he will be. Star and superstar players will want to be on ants side of history for the next 10 years. #destination

  8. I weirdly like this more than Giannis, move Randle for Harden and find some other small pieces and I think we’re more equipped for a run. Harder to double ANT all day when you have another dangerous guard

  9. I do feel that Harden is going to be a better fit than Giannis for the team. Giannis can’t really play with Gobert. Plus off ball, Giannis isn’t going to do that much.

Harden improves Gobert, Giannis doesn’t. Harden can shoot from range, Giannis can not.

When Ant is the ball handler and looking to score, does Giannis space the floor at all? Does he screen well for Ant. What’s the benefits of having Giannis off ball with Ant?

  10. Harden only wants Minnesota because he has assurances Minnesota would extend him. Extending a 36 year old guard isn’t good business.

  11. We are so used to stars leaving that when stars wants to play with the Wolves we dont believe it.

  12. In terms of fitting this core, he would be a perfect basketball fit, compared to a Antetokounmpo deal which would be completely blowing up this core group.

Both options are exciting but seems like Harden has one foot in Cleveland already. And if I’m LAC I would rather take the upside swing on Garland even though he’s got trench foot.

  13. If we can’t make a move for Giannis that works out Harden would be a great additional trade to go for. We haven’t ever experienced the kind of playmaking harden provides both with his ability to find teammates but also to give us buckets when we need them. Fear the beard in Min would be amazing
