The Spurs have the players and picks, will a trade happen by Thursday afternoon? Should I go live earlier tomorrow to watch trade updates before the OKC game? Thanks for watching and GO SPURS GO!
The problem is nobody wants those players
Another Frenchman, Maxime Raynaud, 7'1" 250lbs, rookie. Maybe the Kings would do it for some pics and a player. Hasnt been on anyones radar. not sure contractually eligible.
Go for the wagner bros
We need to make a trade with Olynk and Sochan and about 5 of our 15 second round picks, that's 25 million for a player, we don't use both players and we can get a someone of value. But from the looks of it, the Spurs are valuing the cap relief instead of getting a player just to get a player.
There's no trade happening. Spurs need consistent 3-point shooters, and there aren't any available at the moment.

SA needs to make a trade, at least for Sochanβs sake, but not sure one will materialize. The Giannis trade potential is mucking everything up. You have the teams in the Giannis hunt and then everyone else who sees the potential to capitalize off being a 3rd team to facilitate the trade.
A Sochan plus Kelly trade makes the most sense. Neither are playing significant (if any) minutes and combined, they might get you a rotational piece. Heck, SA could throw in a couple of 2nd round picks to sweeten the deal. I just donβt see any movement until the Giannis dust settles
The Spurs will probably trade Sochan for whatever package is best (wouldnβt be surprised if it is majority draft picks) and wait for the waiver wire and go sign someone appropriate through those means. They donβt typically trade for bigger names mid-season (exception was Fox last year but he did say he wanted to be traded to San Antonio also).
I can see it now, Rich. They won't get a pure shooter. They'll get another inside-scoring guard LMAO
Keep the young core together
Barns got championship experiences
Sochan+Barnes+Olynyk+biyombo+waters and all 2nd round picks for giannis. It's a balance salary too.
Yes please TSR
I just hope Jeremy Sochan finally gets traded. The dude is nothing to our team. Please NBA trade him far ππ½
Spurs need Bobby Portis or some one cut from that cloth like a vuevic everybody else we already have pretty much
I think if the Spurs have a player in mind who they think will make them a guaranteed contender this season and for the future then they should go for it, maybe even slightly overpay. They also need to take into account for cap flexibility for extending Wemby and the young guys. They could make available Vassell, Sochan, the expiring contracts, first round picks for the next three years, and whatever amount of seconds. I don't know if a guy like Murphy is that much of an upgrade that will warrant using all those assets for but if the Spurs are confident on someone now would be a good time to take it.
Spurs don't need a big trade just look at the Thunder for reference they built from within over 5 years
Thank π« π» !! Go Spurs Go ! Go Spurs Go ! Go Spurs Go !β€β€β€ππππππβ€β€β€ππππππβ€β€β€ππππππ
vASSell and Jeremy need to go!
What we know :
1) The last game played by Sochan and Olynyk is against the Jazz the 23th of january. When you intend to trade a player, you avoid the injury as much as possible.
2) There is a very important rumours in France that the Spurs have refused this week-end a trade with the Knicks between Sochan and Yabusele/Dadiet.
3) Having three second round picks + one first pick in 2026 doesn't make sense. We should definitely package some of our second round picks to help a trade.
I have the feeling that the Spurs are currently working on a trade which should send Sochan and Olynyk out of the roster.
And our needs are definitely not to find another backcourt players.
PS : And why not Peyton Watson ?? With their current roster's value, Denver has absolutely no chance to resign him this summer (they will already be so closed to the 2nd apron). In order to resign him, they would be obliged to totally dump another player (such as Cam Johnson or Aaron Gordon).
However, being the Denver's GM, I wouldn't trade at all with the Spurs (a direct competitor).
Sohan barnes McLaughlin 2 seconds for collins and paul.
Olynk 2 seconds to bulls for ayo daseme
Biyombo 2 seconds for Marvin bagley
I was thinking about how Wemby and Giannis had that conversation together after the bucks game π€·ββοΈ
PORTIS AND DANNY WOLF
I donβt think people realize just how dominant Giannis and Vic would be.
My opinion itβs between portis and collins both good power forwards that we need but Collins makes a little to much and would like to resign either one of them to a decent contract
Keeping Mamu would have avoided all of this. Size, 3 point shooting and rebounds playing at the 4 or 5.
We are getting hyped up just to trade sochan to another team for multiple 2nd rd picks and a player we'll waive π
need a roleplayer reliable 3P shooter who is not horrible on D.
For example, HB is horrible on D don't need another HB
Julian as fine as he is on D, is not a reliable shooter…
Vassell is an overpaid roleplayer unrealiable shooter with bad D, also not the kind of guy Spurs need.
Let's trade for Zach Collins!! π₯π₯π Jk.
8Pm
Spurs seem to have interest in Goga Bitadze from the Magic.
Trade sochan for Knecht.
Send Fox out for a talented 3 & D wing.
The issue with your list is you have only known name… there's plenty good protential Roleplayers that the Spurs should target… not well known, but cheaper and impactful…
As an example Keon Ellis traded to Cleveland is that kind of target, not a star, hidden behind Hunter/ShrodΓ«r but (because of his elite D) way more impactful than those two.
Move 1-
Spurs: Get Onyeka Okongwu
Hawks: Get Sochan and Olynyk *Hawks get one of their 1st back I would prefer the swapped one but who knows and 2-3 second round picks.
If no dice on move 1 next one is basically a salary dump…
Move 2-
Spurs get: Michael Porter Jr and we let him expire after contract expires after season 2, Drake Powell, Day' Ron Sharpe
Nets get: Vassell 4 year 27mil contract, Sochan, Olynyk and I have no idea what picks? One first and five second rounders?
Move 2 frees up salary when our guys start getting big contracts.
I wonβt even touch that Bitazade heβs worst than Manute Bol
NBA trade deadline 2026: Grizzlies reportedly trade Jaren Jackson Jr. to Jazz in 8-player deal O.o
That ATL pick can still be a top 10 pick by the end of the season. In this upcoming draft deep with talented players, that could be another really good lottery pick for the Spurs.
did you see?
Jaren Jackson Jr. was traded to UTAH for 3FRP and salary filler!
that's way lower than what I thought! Imagine, Fox trade did cost more than this defensive beast…. who could play perfectly alongside Wemby. π
We better not trade Sochan for a bag of chips π
Spurs definitely should've traded 3 of those pick swap besides the Atlanta one's for Jarren Jackson. That dang Ainge has done it again. Utah definitely building something to come for our Spurs
I say wait for Free Agency, in picking up a young more lethal 3 point power forward to replace H Barnes, unless someone comes up to trade for.
Because you never know , harrison barnes may heat up come playoff times with his playoff experience.
