  1. > “It’s been the same for a while now,” Knies said of his knee injury. “If you keep playing on it, you keep irritating it.”

    > He also knows that rest is largely what’s required for his knee injury, but rest has been hard to come by in a compressed schedule.

Why the fuck haven’t they sat him and let him heal properly?

  2. This far out of the playoffs he should be shut down. Idk what this team is doing at this point.

  3. they should’ve sat him like a month ago wtf are we doing? No sports and science department will do that

  4. Love Knies but it is concerning how injury prone he tends to be. Two of the last 3 years he’s had mediocre seasons because of injury.

  5. Seems like something a competent director of sports science wouldn’t allow… too bad the richest team in hockey cheaped out…

  6. Love the guy, but it really would have been the best thing for this team if we did the Rantanen swap at the deadline last year.

  7. No reason for Knies to be risking permanent injury in a lost season. Let him rest, get surgery, whatever! I respect his dedication but come on.

  8. If we are selling then shut him and McCabe down for the season they are both clearly hurt.

  9. Last year, they were giving guys extra days off and plenty of rest due to how well they were positioned in the standings.

This year, they’ve been desperate for points and don’t have that luxury, so they’ve rushed guys back and haven’t been healthy at all.

  10. it’s not just his knee injury. Dude should of worked on his skating instead of being a moron and adding more weight. He’s been beind plays and not as effective because of this.

  11. LET HIM REST, like it was stupid having him play these last few weeks but now it doesn’t make any sense. Let’s not hurt this kid’s future for no reason.

  12. He’s been realllly bad lately. Like real bad. Lots of giveaways. Slow. Hemmed when on the ice. Unable to exit his zone.

To the point where I think a lesser player who is healthy would be more value added to the team ….not to mention the potential damage he is doing to himself by playing (I can’t read the full article so not sure if this is true)

  13. Really hope Treliving gets on the local media to dispute this stuff.

Isn’t it funny how there have not been articles like this at all the last few years?

It sure does vibe like the players are sick of what management is doing
