  1. dc has to be better than bowen right?

    harbaugh is an upgrade

nagy is about the same as kafka was for me

  2. Very exciting! Would have never guessed this thinking back to the season opener last year.

  3. We didn’t get the flashy coordinators, but we got the biggest fish in the pond.

Like many, I’m getting more excited about Wilson as time goes on. Just have to hope Nagy isn’t a disaster.

  4. >Let’s see how it goes!

A decade-plus of precedent for these kinds of moves would say: “horribly”

  5. JH is the difference maker here. I a not jumping out of excitement for either Coordinator. But is not concerns as I would be if it was a different HC.

  6. I hope everyone is proven wrong later this year but the Nagy hire just put such a wrench in all the optimism I had going into next season

  7. Harbaugh – Super Bowl Winner

    Nagy – Super Bowl Winner

Wilson – Future Super Bowl Winner 😎

  8. Touting matt nagy as a super bowl winning coach in bad faith this year any time someone says something bad about him

  9. I see 3 rings in this picture, the coach with the best record in the last 15 years and a guy who’s been called a future HC in the making. We have winners in the building now.

  10. We were all so excited when he was hired and now everyone is playing Monday morning QB and criticizing what he’s doing. I’m pretty sure he is a better judge of football than the vast majority of us. I’m trusting in Harbaugh up into the point that he proves to me that I shouldn’t.

  11. Regardless of what everyone’s views are here: it’s got to be better than the last 6 years.

  12. Going to trust Harbaugh especially in his 1st season. The draft will tell alot

  13. After further research on Nagy, I’m good with all three above. Harbaugh worked for Reid at Philly so there’s a big connection. Certainly Harbaugh spoke with Reid and picked his brain just like when he called Eli and Daboll concerning the open GMen HC position. I have full respect for Reid who IMHO is one of the best ever and he called Nagy a gem. Nagy as a former college QB, his vast experience with the NFL and his offensive coaching philosophy will work well with Dart.

  14. I nominate “Let’s see how it goes!” as the official motto for this coming year.

  15. I think getting Naggy allows the giants to have a stable OC for at least 3-4 years maybe more depending on how well he does. Maybe being under Harbaugh wing will keep him here and transition into HC after Harbaugh

  16. Andy Reid and Mahomes are NFL royalty at this point I get it, but the amount of scapegoating I’ve seen today against Nagy is unreal. This guy didn’t call the plays and didn’t create the scheme… He didn’t magically make Mahomes miss on deep balls all season either. Mahomes was very obviously off the mark this season, even my more casual friends noticed that. I have a hard time blaming the OC, who doesn’t even call plays, for the play-calling and execution of said plays.

Either way, I think Nagy is a *fine* hire. He was a huge reason Alex Smith turned it around in 2017 and had a fantastic year (he took over play calling duties that season) and then he became a HC with horrendous QB play and very few notable weapons.

He has since not called plays for the past 4 seasons as far as I know. I’m not saying to be over the moon happy for the hire, but give him a chance. He also openly said he left because his desire was to be a play-caller, something Andy Reid wouldn’t offer. (tired of seeing “Andy Reid didn’t even want him” lol)

  17. Sean Mcvay could’ve stepped down, taken the Giants OC job and I guarantee some people would find a way to complain. Won 12 games and coach of the year with the Bears while having no QB. End of his tenure was bad, but still no QB. We’re not asking him to put together a roster we’re asking him to lead the offense. And KC is literally Andy Reid and Andy Reid alone. If the chiefs success/failures had anything to do with the OC then Eric Bieniemy would’ve gotten a HC job. Instead he was relegated to the college ranks and then to be the RBs coach in Chicago. Now obviously he’s back in KC but nobody could understand why he wasn’t getting a HC job back then, turned out dude wasn’t a good coach. Perception isn’t reality.

  18. As a whole its definitely a net improvement over what we had beforehand. Obviously love Harbaugh as a HC and Wilson sounds like a good get at DC (and should be immensely better than Blowin), I just don’t like the Nagy hire that much, but we’ll see. Fuck the Browns for taking Monken from us.

  19. Great thing about rock bottom.

It can only be better. It literally can only go better than the last three years.

  20. Just glad Harbaugh is there. The rest will sort itself out. I’ll take a double digit win season playoffs or not with this crew their first year. That’s the easiest eye test for me.
