The NFL just gave the Jaguars some great news as it has been reported that the NFL is increasing the salary cap for 2026. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that the salary cap will be between $301.2 million to $305.7 million for each NFL team for next season. The Jaguars have major free agent decisions for Devin Lloyd, Travis Etienne and Montaric Brown this offseason. Have to extend Travon.
Also remember they lined him up on the inside the most since he's been in the league so that factors into his sack numbers including that injury bug he was fighting all year.

You see what happened when they waited to extend Josh. It codt them more money.

E – You have to extend I think. Everyone falls in love with "sacks" because the media pushes it like Myles Garrett. You can tell they ask our edges to do a certain job in the scheme. Ranking 1st in run defense just doesn't happen and Travon was a big part of that. He is also really good for the culture. I rather pay him then give out "superstar" money unless it really was worth it. But that's just my 2 cents onto building a roster.

Make Armstead a post-June 1st cut. At that point, maybe we can offer him a more friendly contract to stay in town.
We can sign John Franklin-Myers to get more penetration in the backfield. I’d be OK with offering Armstead a restructured contract converting most of his guarenteed money inv a signing bonus that won’t count against the cap
Do the same with JHA, TLaw, and bam, you’ve got a lot more cap space.

Definitely Extend Treyvon Walker! The question is who is going to take his place??? These conversations are crazy. It’s easy to say get rid of people, it is incredibly difficult to find anyone that can even replace a player of this caliber.
