I think the Mets and other teams were waiting on the arbitration deal of Skobul to be done today before they move forward. This will create a domino effect on these FA's. I think the Mets may be offering a package for him if he wins his arbitration
Ty France is bad offensively… even with his gold glove in 25 he had a 1.0 war. he had an 88 ops plus. in 24 92 ops plus and a negative .6 war. makes NO SENSE

I might get some scoffs, but genuinely why not Dom Smith? Dom actually was pretty decent with the Giants last year. Not saying we should trot him out there as our Opening Day First Baseman, but as a guy you bring into Spring Training maybe have him start the year in Syracuse and if Polanco and Baty and Vientos aren't working, maybe see how's he done in Triple A and give him a shot. We already know Dom is decent at First and he'd be an immediate impactful clubhouse guy
