  1. Vegas is number 1 in the Pacific. Not only do they have the least amount of wins among all teams currently in playoff spots, WC included, there is only a single team in the entire Eastern conference that has less wins than them. 14 overtime loss points

    That said, Utah is still weird. Very pretty state though

  5. This is another crazy MVP (and Art Ross) race. Kucherov has 71 points in his last 32 games, McDavid is McDavid, MacKinnon is MacKinnon, and Werenski is leading Columbus in scoring by a wide margin.

    The Norris is interesting too. Seider is finally getting some respect, Werenski is amazing, and the narrative around Makar as the runaway favorite has quieted down a bit.

  7. Thoughts on trading for a trocheck to be that 3rd center and maybe provide a bit more 5 on 5 scoring? Would probably cost a second or so

  13. Twin brother starts a clinical trial next week for his leukemia and it’s got me rattled a bit apparently. If this doesn’t work then it’s bone marrow transplant and if that doesn’t work…

    Meanwhile my dad, who he lives with, just had a skin cancer removed which I know is normal at his age but still. Heading back to San Diego to help out with both of them.

  21. After tonight we don’t have a start time later than 8PM EST, and all three of the 8PM start times are on saturdays. There isn’t a weeknight start later than 7PM. Amen.

  22. I wonder if EP40 needs a change of scenery. Is that here? I do not know. In addition, perhaps I am wrong but Vancouver does not seem to be a good place for him. Well, regardless I guess it will be interesting if he is available. Teams will be inquiring I suppose.

  23. I love that there’s two camps in the sub.

    1) The optimists. They are focused on playoff seeding and doing as much damage as we can this year.

    2) The traumatized. We just want to make it in. If that’s the first divisional seed or some arcane tiebreaker, it’s all a massive win. 😛

  25. So I don’t think it’s controversial to say Larkin has been a bit off this season. A lot of people speculate that it’s injury related, but that avs game was probably one of the best games he’s played this year. I think that was by far his best skating game this year. He looked like he had that gear that very few have.

    This poses the question.. what is going on with him? Is it a motivation issue at this point?
