4. After trading Anfernee Simons for Nikola Vučević, Boston solidified the starting center spot but also lost a real source of bench scoring, which changes the team’s needs. Once the Vučević deal is finalized, the Celtics will have a large trade exception that could easily absorb Coby White’s $12.9M salary, and from a basketball standpoint he makes sense if he’s viewed as a sixth-man scorer rather than a starter. With Chicago now holding Simons, Giddey, Ayo Dosunmu, and Mike Conley, they could justify moving Coby to balance their guard rotation, while Boston would be filling the exact hole Simons left by adding instant offense off the bench. The idea works mechanically and on the court the only real question is whether Boston is willing to spend meaningful assets for bench scoring after already committing to Vučević.

32. Ayo Dosunmo. He'd give you a lot of the offensive ability you lost by trading Simons, and he actually plays defense. He'd also fit into our 8.6 mil trade exemption.
