I was so depressed after the gut punch endings to the 2017-19 seasons that I was irrationally afraid the entire 2020 season was going to be cancelled due to COVID and Mookie was going to bounce as a free agent without ever playing a game in a Dodger uniform.

I remember where I was! At a steakhouse by myself on what I didn’t know would end up being my last overnight stay for work for the next two years.

I had just put my daughter sleep when my phone went off. It was second best news i heard that day. First was hearing from the pediatrician that my son was doing well inside my wife. She had been feeling nauseous and dizzy the week prior.

I definitely remember the 3 rings after this deal lol. I also remember in 2020 in the NLCS beating Braves down 3-0 and watching Mookie play a big role in the series with doing a lot like robbing a hr. Great trade.
