NJ Devils TRADE With ST Louis Blues For Nick Bjugstad!

The NJ Devils TRADE with the St Louis Blues and acquire center Nick Bjugstad. The Devils gave up prospect Tomas Bordeleau and a draft pick and pick up a depth center who has this year and next signed on for at a decent cap hit.

  4. Too little, too late. Except for the first 10 games, it's been another incredibly disappointing season. With the talent available on the roster and what they are producing, the entire management should be changed. 2nd to last in the division. The only thing worse this season would be for injury prone Jack Hughes to get hurt again in the Olympics.

  16. It's a fine trade for what it is. Didn't give up much for a guy who will HOPEFULLY add the physicality that NJ is missing (although they already have players that were supposed to add that element to the Devils' game and haven't really lived up to expectations). SO as a trade, it's fine. However, as you stated in the video, it's bad timing to pull this off. NJ is not making the playoffs this year or if by some miracle they do, they're likely to get KOd quick. So adding this player NOW when they should have tried to bolster the roster WEEKS ago is admission that anything done at this point is for next season. That's an admission of failure. That's more than enough reason to pull the trigger on giving Fitz the boot. The problem, of course, is if you don't already have someone in place to step in immediately with a plan for going into the draft and to make necessary trades and acquisitions, we're going to watch a whole lot of "catch up" as the new guy tries to make moves in the aftermath of other teams' deals already getting pushed through.

  19. This is a lost season… i dont mind this trade 4 weeks ago; but now?! I just hope that the Devs are now sellers @ the deadline; they arent going anywhere… so frustrating!! At least we still have your videos – thanks!!
