What if the answer to our pp woes is to skate forwards to our own zone and try to score via a drop pass shot?
My hope for power plays was we’d score.
After too many frustrating scoreless power plays, my hope was we’d run the other team around a bit, get them tired, which would plan into our hands in the 3rd.
Now my hope is that there isn’t a(nother) short handed goal.
It is all a trick… then once the playoffs start BOOM script gets flipped.
We could surprise every team. We haven’t tried a third drop pass yet. Bahaha
Hear me out. What if we do a series of drop passes like something you may see out of a mighty ducks movie? What’s the right number? 3? 4? 5? …more?!?!?
Just imagine someone skating up with speed and then dropping it. And then that guy dropping it. Again and again and again.
Can’t be any worse than whatever the hell they are doing now!
They should just ban passing on the PP. Once it’s in the zone blast that shit. I don’t care if the other 4 guys are in between the puck and the goalie.
On the bright side, after this game we aren’t THE worst power play team in the league, we are tied down it.
