  7. Panarin to the Kings makes sense from the standpoint of offensive need. Too bad he doesn't play center though. That's what the Kngs need-as well as half of the NHL. They are still under pressure to add more center depth considering Kopitar's last year is upon us.

  14. Good player but getting up there in hockey years. That cap hit will hurt if his play starts taking a hit next year. This will help the Kings get into the playoffs this year but doubt it makes them a serious cup contender. We'll see.

  16. Now they have to sign him to a contract, because if they lose him to free agency this is going to be another horrible Kings trade for a rental.

  22. It's a two-year contract, and I don't think Los Angeles can make the playoffs and win the Stanley Cup in that time. The Eastern Conference is clearly stronger than the Western Conference right now.

  24. The NYR were already slipping this just makes it worse so now what about Zibanijad Trochek and Jt all are 33 so their window would have been 2 more years but NOW this window is gone so makes sense to also deal those 3 as well.

  29. I look forward to Panarin getting a good sun tan and golfing a lot rather than playing hard winning hockey. he was looking for a warm place to retire to post-hockey life.

    Breaking news you should do a podcast about concerns a recent bar fight in Pennsylvania involving Gavin McKenna breaking jaw of another patron, supposedly happened Jan 31 so they were covering it up and it leaked anyway? Or is this a false rumour?

  31. This is exactly why Drury needs to be fired. I don’t buy it his preferred destination? 😂I guess he doesn’t want to win a championship. LA isn’t making the playoffs and he passed over so many teams.

  32. Greentree is a high end prospect. The Kings still need to add-a dominating, physical D-man and a tough, two-way winger. Without those moves coming I have no idea why the Kings would surrender their future. If this move is it- it's a bad strategy for the Kings. Rangers didn't have a choice–Kings were the only team they could deal with, and the Kings knew it. You make this deal if you think you can win it all–I don't think the Kings are close to making that a reality.
