It would make sense to get him if they see it as an upgrade and use another winger in a separate deal to bring in a new center. But that would be super aggressive. I also don’t love the age + extension price combo on him.

We do have a different culture here, and I do not want someone who sexually assaulted a Rags employee. We need a damn 2C. Hey GMET, there’s another Rag who would kind of be the perfect fit here, maybe get him instead. This is going to cost us a 1st and Nadeau too. I really hope this report is wrong.
Centers are overrated. Why not just run a full lineup of wingers?

Getting a better 2C has just as much potential to impact the team as getting a player like Panarin. You never know what’s going to and not going to work. We have lacked a “pure” goal scorer for a long time.

For those of you emphasizing that we need a center (we do), which other centers would you really want outside of trocheck?
He only wants a trade with an extension attached and I do not want him extended. I’d rather not get him at all and spend less for a bigger need and a better fit from the same team. If we do grab him, I want him to be a rental and he doesn’t want that.
Will be shocked if Nadeau is still a Cane by the end of this season.

I think Tulsky did his due diligence to see what the Rangers + Panarin camp wanted like any GM would, but seeing sticker price vs actually consdering it are two very, very different things.

I want to believe he’s guilty too but I know that he has vocally opposed Putin and there was a similar assault rumor in 2021 coming out of Russia. It makes me wonder if this could also be piling onto that. We have no way to know what is happening and a settlement is certainly not a good look.
