[Pete Abraham] My understanding is the Red Sox are still working on adding to the roster beyond the signing of Kiner-Falefa.

  1. Abraham also works for John Henry and said we were landing both Alonso and Bregman during the winter meetings lol. This man knows where his bread is buttered

  2. He was a former gold glove at 3B, was tasked to play SS and 3B last year. We just so happen to have 2 injury prone players in those positions, and allows Ceddone less pressure to deviate from CF in case Story is injured.

Sox Reddit is so reactionary. ST not here yet

  3. I wonder if moving Hamilton is in the works. Probably not but that’s the only way this signing makes sense

  4. K .. so Vaughn Grissom completely out of the conversation? Hamilton and IKF duke it out for 2b and fill in on off days?

  5. I’ll be frank, if they don’t try to acquire another legit mlb bat for their infield they might find themselves on the outside looking in come playoff time.

  6. I’m not thrilled about trying to make 2B work with Romy/Sogard/Hamilton, but I’d rather see any of those three than IKF. We need impact on the major league roster, not just rearranging the deck chairs.

  7. I’m fine with signing him. He brings versatility and insurance, which is nice. But I don’t believe they’re actually adding anything meaningful after this.

  8. Right…..next you’ll tell us you believe the next 72 hours will make a lot of Red Sox fans smile too….

Don’t believe a word anyone connected to this organization says.

  9. I mean Bobby Dalbec is not currently on the roster, so naturally I would assume so.

  10. I don’t really get the outrage of this signing. He’s here to replace Eaton/Hamilton, not Bregman.

Be upset about not signing a middle of the order bat. I certainly am. But being mad about guy 25 on the roster is wild
