  1. Wonder if you can sign guys to like $20m contracts with $2m guaranteed by the deadline to bypass the 90% start of season rule, then just waive them and rent cap space at trade deadline.

  2. Shocked one or two of you guys haven't been replaced YET from someone from India!!! tick, tick, tick!!! Seems inevitable looking at things on the corporate level/high salary level!

  3. Irrelevant. Just add more pieces. People are
Some how forgetting lively.Irving, post rookie Flagg, lively make a playoff team on their own. Add a mid to high first round pick, play and a + player at SG or PG (white is a perfect fit) and you have something to cook well with. Didn’t make sense to get AD to begin with. You had gafford and lively. This move is A+ for what the Mavs have now get the PG or SG you always needed (why Flagg has to play PG now) then sit back and count the rings. TBH with having kyrie a Flagg for Luka trade actually makes the Mavs better

  4. These trades are the result of the max contracts and aprons. CBA should have lowered the max %, the current prices players out of teams as they age.

  5. The Mav's demise is on Cuban. He "thought" he could sell "majority interest" to the Adelson's and still be in control?

    Silly, silly Cuban

Patrick Dumont is the new sheriff in BIG D as it should be.

  6. I love when bontemps pretend the wizards will blindly extend ad on some awful deal. You can’t spend the whole pod talking about this is his market now and the mavs got what they could and then be like in a year and a half they’ll have to pay him 45 mil. People do this all the time with these trade (bontemps especially) and it’s just so dumb. The market just told you what he’s worth. You just talked about how it wasnt much. And now we’re pretending in a year he’ll get 45 mil until he’s 38. Gtfo

  7. To me, this hand injury came at such a bad time, I thought they would never get out from under the Davis contract. The fact they were able to move him and dump salary at all is a miracle. The much worse option would be to have Davis in 2 years on the books for over 50mil and playing something like 20 games a season. Such a good outcome for the Mavs.

  8. If there’s a reason why his trade market was so low then why are the wizards gonna just give him 40 mil per year? No chance he turns down his player option in two years. I think he’ll be on the team for two years then they reevaluate

  9. The AD deal proves there's no plan. I have a plan and a
$10M signing fee for Winger's job. I need absolute player personnel
decision latitude under the cap and for individual contracts
    under 1/8 of the cap.

  10. How about we call it, "The Slingshot around the Moon." Teams go from tanking in the darkside of the Moon to accelerating out the other side.🤷

  11. Not the first time I've thought this, but Bontemps and Kevin Pelton are BOTH wrong! Giving Mavs a good Trade Grade and docking Wizards for an imaginary extension that hasn't happened is foolish.
