Rays New Stadium Renderings

  1. If I had a nickel for every time we got a “new Rays stadium rendering” I’d be able to afford opening day tickets.

  2. But, rest assured, this will be the sixth time we have unveiled a render of a new Rays stadium, and we have become exceedingly efficient at it.

  3. LOVE that they decided to go with the glass roof. Can’t wait to see what the inside looks like.

    Big time sofi stadium vibes.

  4. Lmao, the one of the mascots standing in front of a blood thirsty crowd like a bunch of gladiators

  5. Potential names:

“The Gold and Diamond Source Diamond” or “Sergio’s Jewelry Diamond” (real ones know)

    “Tropicana Orange Wedge”

    “Westshore Pizza Slice”

    What am I missing?

  6. Ok, sure this one is also fine aswell. Can’t wait for the next one in 2 months.

Just do it or don’t at this point.

  7. They seem to have rendered this in a totally unbelievable way, it’s insane. You’ll never see that many Rays fans in one place!

  8. If you guys want this to happen i would do the reserve a seat for 20 bucks even if you dont plan on buying season tickets. Show them they have support

  9. Looks pretty good. Sort of like SoFi Stadium in LA, it looks like it’s got a canopy, but it’s enclosed… I guess that will cut back on the heat of the summer a little bit.

Where exactly is parking going to be, though? I guess they will expect much of that traffic to go across the street, but seems like a far walk…

  10. Just don’t get your hopes up. Just remember that the latest estimate was around $2.3 BILLION for this stadium, with the rays saying they’d pay half of it. Under Stu, the team balked at paying less than that for the project in St. Pete after Milton, even with estimated overruns. And then you have to keep in mind that the City of Tampa has already said they would not commit to helping to pay for the stadium costs. So will the county be willing to cough up over a billion when there are so many other things that would actually benefit residents instead of a baseball stadium for rich owners?

  11. Liked the renders of the St. Pete proposal more. But I guess given the proportions of the lot, this looks pretty nice. Kinda reminds me of the Astros park

  12. Need shovels in the ground otherwise these are worthless. Hopefully we hear more regarding the funding in the next month or so

  13. Looks like on the left it has a shuttle going onto airport property. That would be smart, I don’t see any additional parking added in the rendering except for the small lot to the top left of the wide shot.

  14. As a North Pinellas resident, I can get there a lot quicker and easier than I can get to the Trop. Full steam ahead, boys.
