They seem to have rendered this in a totally unbelievable way, it’s insane. You’ll never see that many Rays fans in one place!
So where is this (hopefully)going?
I think it looks gorgeous.
It kind of looks like SoFi Stadium.
I’m not completely in the loop. Is the college staying or leaving?
How much harder would it be to change the shape from a triangle to a devil ray?
Now why wouldn’t they orient home base to be at the slim part of the slice???
thank god, i was afraid we would lose dj kitty
If you guys want this to happen i would do the reserve a seat for 20 bucks even if you dont plan on buying season tickets. Show them they have support
Looks pretty good. Sort of like SoFi Stadium in LA, it looks like it’s got a canopy, but it’s enclosed… I guess that will cut back on the heat of the summer a little bit.
Where exactly is parking going to be, though? I guess they will expect much of that traffic to go across the street, but seems like a far walk…
So where is parking
i’m all for it if it means mixed use development and improved transit
Just don’t get your hopes up. Just remember that the latest estimate was around $2.3 BILLION for this stadium, with the rays saying they’d pay half of it. Under Stu, the team balked at paying less than that for the project in St. Pete after Milton, even with estimated overruns. And then you have to keep in mind that the City of Tampa has already said they would not commit to helping to pay for the stadium costs. So will the county be willing to cough up over a billion when there are so many other things that would actually benefit residents instead of a baseball stadium for rich owners?
What if they just made the entire roof a stingray tank?!
Liked the renders of the St. Pete proposal more. But I guess given the proportions of the lot, this looks pretty nice. Kinda reminds me of the Astros park
Need shovels in the ground otherwise these are worthless. Hopefully we hear more regarding the funding in the next month or so
yay another stadium the city has to finance
Looks like on the left it has a shuttle going onto airport property. That would be smart, I don’t see any additional parking added in the rendering except for the small lot to the top left of the wide shot.
Yawn.
As a North Pinellas resident, I can get there a lot quicker and easier than I can get to the Trop. Full steam ahead, boys.
Another stadium “edging” cycle!
they’ll call it the Tear Drop if it never gets built

People are already referring to it as “The Slice”.
Shovels!
Pizza time
Man is that a tight fit
Add a stop to the economy parking train.

Cant wait for the brodie brazil breakdown
There better be a two story bar/hangout area in the outfield or so help me god
Will it have a ray tank? This is what I want to know.
So close to GMS is wild.
If I had a nickel for every time we got a “new Rays stadium rendering” I’d be able to afford opening day tickets.
I mean, they don’t just let anybody do artists renderings.
I’m not seeing a lazy river…

But, rest assured, this will be the sixth time we have unveiled a render of a new Rays stadium, and we have become exceedingly efficient at it.
LOVE that they decided to go with the glass roof. Can’t wait to see what the inside looks like.
Big time sofi stadium vibes.
Lmao, the one of the mascots standing in front of a blood thirsty crowd like a bunch of gladiators
it looks like a giant parking garage with glass roof
Potential names:
“The Gold and Diamond Source Diamond” or “Sergio’s Jewelry Diamond” (real ones know)
“Tropicana Orange Wedge”
“Westshore Pizza Slice”
What am I missing?
Ok, sure this one is also fine aswell. Can’t wait for the next one in 2 months.
Just do it or don’t at this point.
Already selling tickets lol
