6. I’ve said this for 3 years Ace, you’re a little late to the party. This organization became all about the HUGHES & not about the CREST. Once we drafted Luke it was over. They became the priority. Imagine the 3 big body forwards we could get with the 17 million dollars from Jack/Luke. We would INSTANTLY BE A TRUE CUP CONTENDER

7. Before the seasons wheels fell off I wanted jack to stay home from the Olympics. Now I don’t care. Let him go whatever, it doesn’t matter anymore this year. Fire Fitz and Keefe before any moves get made. This has been an absolute dumpster fire. Yeah the roster sucks but why is Keefe continually trying the same thing over and over?? He may not be THE ISSUE but he’s definitely not apart of the solution.

8. Nico, Pesce, Grits, Leni, Kovacevic, Dillon, Timo, Brown, Glass. KEEP these guys and trade everyone else and get beef + goal scorers. We would win the cup within 2 years.

9. Jack has played 7 seasons. Not once has he not missed chunks of time. You don’t build championships on inconsistency. Connor Brown said it beautiful, hockey is a game of momentum so when you’ve got star players constantly in and and out, you’re not going to win enough games.

15. Don't think Keefe is the problem. He's just calling out the softness of this roster. Bratt, Hughes, Nico….all finesse. Timo has been a disaster signing for that money

16. The team is way to soft..they played so much better when they had big Mac out there and he's gone.. we need to trade for some goons… I would trade for Tom Wilson,Olivier, zadorov and Brady. Any of those guys would instantly change our soft team and culture. If we can't score at least we can beat up the other team and make it tough for opponents

17. Man, I’m sorry tuned in for a bit last night and you have picked up some more very opinionated people in the comments. Once again, you handled yourself well as always. Honestly, I’m a little undecided on Hughes, as was mentioned I do feel like he has been pandered to a bit, but as someone who has worked and competed with Olympians (not in hockey,) I understand what that means. However, the work ethic I would assume is very similar for both, and while Jack is skilled he (along with many players on this team,) comes across as lazy for lack of a better term. “People pay to watch me play,” irked me a little bit. But I chocked it up to young kid. We don’t know the extent of the injury, but you and I know that man on the jersey you’re wearing brought people up to his level, he was about TEAM first, and everyone in that room respected him for it.

19. I'll go further..we will never win if we build around these brothers. They come off as douchey country club kids who have been coddled and told how amazing they are since birth. Theres undeniable talent but i dont see a winner lets be real hes a jerk to reporters, was def drunk and did something stupid at the steak house, only thing u see them doing in the summer is partying and it seems to be more about their brand than winning. I think olympics will be good and humbling for him like 4 nations

22. I've always been at odds with myself over Jack's attitude. The kid is insanely talented, maybe the best playmaker in the league as far as pure skill is concerned.. but his ego and attitude kind of bothers me. I also don't think he has the passion and desire to be the best leader and punch the team up. I'm not overly bothered by him not playing and going to the Olympics but maybe I agree with someone taking the kid out back and having a little chat with him about his demeanor. Also, Keefe deserves another shot, and the whole front office needs to be forcibly removed from the name Devils. Like yesterday.

23. Hughes will have zero impact for team USA…he was invisible at 4 nations.

29. I agree with Keefe 100% They’re definitely weak mentality and physically. They get down a goal and they give up. They also don’t have enough clutch players. They need a bid culture change. And that’s on Fritz.
