  1. You just know we’re getting screwed on that schedule. Sorry week going in or coming out… probably both. Thanks I hate it. I already miss Mexico city. Goold that game was great.

  2. I’m excited as a fan, but I can’t imagine Shanahan is all that happy about his team already being one of the biggest travelers going across multiple time zones to start the season

  3. Knowing the NFL, this game will be on Sunday. Then the following week the Niners will be on TNF while the Rams get a bye.

  4. Getting screwed out of home game to play across the globe.

Therre better be a bye after this shit

  5. Let’s hope this is the Friday game of Week 1 (like the Brazil game was for GB/PHI) and we get a few extra days to get back before a week 2 sunday game. Otherwise this is a rough schedule.

  6. I’m furious. Any team except the Rams would be better. We’re getting screwed out of a home game whether we’re the host team or not.

  7. That flight will fuck with them for weeks. What’s the rule, for every hour of time change you need a day to adjust?

It’s an 18 hour flight? Fucking stupid. If the NFL wants American football in AU, then start a league. This is detrimental to the teams.

  8. That means we get the raiders at Levi’s. I was convinced we would play them in Mexico.

  9. Rams agreed to avoid the normal scene at Levis South. Only issue is it will still be Levis South just really really far south.

  10. I see the disappointment but I’m from Melbourne and I’m so freaking excited to see my team live!

  11. NFL: ‘9ers are playing an international game!

    UK faithful: YAY!

    NFL: It’s in Melbourne, Australia!

    UK faithful: 💀

  12. I think teams volunteer for international series because it gives them control on when they get their bye week

  13. I’ve been to two Levi’s games and that is a long way to go for a game. I’ll still have to fly from Sydney but one hour rather than 14. So I’m happy to get to see the boys again. Go niners.

  14. With the size of the MCG, this will likely be the largest attendance of a gridiron game outside of North America.

  15. And they’ll probably have the Niners play in Melbourne on Sunday and play a road game the following Thursday. Why. Do. They. Hate. Us???

  16. Cool, two teams in the same state in a game that would normally be a short travel day even if visitors, now are travelling the furthest away any NFL team has had to do. Couldn’t it at least have been like a West Coast team vs east Coast team so that a super long travel day replaces a long travel day instead of a super long travel day replacing a barely travel day.

  17. I’m actually so hyped.

I’m Aussie but I live in Sydney so I guess I’ll be looking at a trip to Melbourne lol

  18. I don’t know how these athletes manage to play on the other side of the world with only a few days to adjust to the time zone. I had such bad jet lag when I went to Europe that I couldn’t sleep for a week, and I was getting headaches and stomachaches.

  19. Hilarious that the Rams will host a game on the other side of the world to avoid another Niners takeover of “their house.”
